    Abstract: The tendency of lithographic plates to buckle during baking under top heat with the result that the heat treatment is not uniform to minimised by passing the plates through an oven on a conveyor belt which inclines upwardly over part of its path and then downwardly, so that the plates are caused to bend transversely and the bends are caused to travel lengthwise of the plates.
