Patents Assigned to HP INDIGO B.V.
  • Publication number: 20180017897
Abstract: Herein is disclosed a method of electrostatic printing. The method may include forming a latent electrostatic image on a surface and transferring a first volume of a charged toner to the latent electrostatic image on the surface. The method may also include transferring a second volume of a charged toner to the surface, such that a toner image comprising the first volume of charged toner and the second volume of charged toner is formed on the surface, the second volume of charged toner being disposed on the first volume of charged toner. The method may also include transferring the image to a print substrate.

  • Publication number: 20180017898
Abstract: An example apparatus is provided in accordance with the present disclosure, which may be used for example for liquid electrophotographic printing. The example apparatus comprises a photo imaging plate to receive a liquid colorant image, the liquid colorant comprising a carrier fluid, and to transfer the image to a support, and a rotatable roller to remove carrier fluid from the photo imaging plate and increase the density of solids in the liquid colorant on at least a region of the photo imaging plate, prior to the liquid image being transferred.

  • Publication number: 20180019570
Abstract: In one example, an imaging system (10) for a laser printer includes: an imaging laser (26) in which, within a range of drive currents, a threshold current of the laser varies with temperature and an efficiency of the laser does not vary with temperature; a power sensor (20) to measure an output power of the laser at a drive current within the range of drive currents; and a temperature control device (32) to change the temperature of the laser based on an output power measured by the power sensor.

  • Patent number: 9851928
Abstract: In one embodiment, a processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to print a print job, and determine target color data for each sheet of the print job while printing the job. The instructions further cause the processor to continually save the target color data to a server for each sheet of the print job as each sheet is printed.

  • Patent number: 9817339
Abstract: Apparatus is described which, in use, applies a thin film of a wetting agent, such as water or a water-based solution, onto paper or other print medium before applying a liquid toner. The wetting agent is applied at a predetermined distance from an image transfer area. The wetting agent acts to promote adhesion of the liquid toner to the print medium. The adhesion of the liquid toner to the print medium is further improved by supplying the wetting agent at a temperature higher than room temperature.

  • Patent number: 9779332
Abstract: An apparatus and method for use in capturing image data of an output of a printing device during a print run, the method comprising capturing a first portion of image data of a first spread, capturing a second portion of image data of a second spread, wherein the location of the second portion of image data on the second spread is different from the location of the first portion of image data on the first spread, and combining the first portion with the second portion to generate oversampled image data.

  • Patent number: 9776372
Abstract: There is disclosed a computer program product for carrying out a method of calibrating a thickness of an embossing die, the embossing die being formed from a plurality of ink layers printed by an apparatus. According to the method, an average thickness of an ink layer printed by the apparatus may be calculated, and a target die thickness may be calculated as a function of the average ink layer thickness. A system for implementing a method of calibrating a thickness of an embossing die and a method of measuring a thickness of an embossing die are also disclosed.
