Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a biometric identification system, method and product for facilitating a transaction in a point of sale environment. In one embodiment, the biometric identification system facilitates creating or updating a biometric template based on biometric samples received from an existing customer belonging to an existing predetermined customer group, and approving a transaction at the point of sale terminal based on a validated biometric sample received from a verified customer.
Abstract: A method of assigning a credit limits to individual credit applicants. The method utilizes an algorithm to determine the profitability of a credit account and applies the algorithm to a plurality of credit accounts using a chi squared method to group the accounts into segments. An optimization process is performed on each segment to determine a credit limit that yields the maximum profitability of accounts in that segment. Credit applicants are then given the credit limit corresponding to the segment into which they fall. A shadow policy is used to selectively increase a credit applicant's credit limit.

Abstract: A global framework multi-layer computer based architecture is provided. The global framework may include a single set of libraries that contains common source code applicable to substantially all business processing systems using the global framework. The global framework may include individual source code libraries that contain modifications specific to a business processing system to meet the local needs of that business processing system. The business processing systems may execute the custom and base libraries through concatenation of the libraries.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and mediums for calculating a score that predicts customer activity in the future such as whether the customer will make a purchase, visit a store, etc., or how much money the customer will spend, how many times the customer will shop, etc., are provided. In certain embodiments, these methods and systems collect demographic data and transactional data for customers, summarize at least on variable in the demographic data and the transactional data and attach the summary data to each customer, apply a statistical algorithm to the demographic data, the transactional data, and the summary data to create a model of a target variable related to customer activity and/or loyalty, derive a score for each of the customers from the model, select some of the customers based on the scores, and market directly to the selected customers.
