Abstract: Known intermediate foils for compound glasses with improved sound insulation consist of several layers or special materials which cannot be further processed in conventional plants. The aim of the present invention is to provide an intermediate foil for compound glasses with improved sound insulation, whereby said foil consists of one layer as far as possible and is based upon PVB. Said intermediate foil allows for an improved sound insulation of the compound glasses in room temperature and has essentially unchanged working properties, whereby said compound glasses are produced from the intermediate foil. To resolve the aim of the invention, an intermediate foil is provided which contains: 50 to 80 wt. % PVB (partially acetalised polyvinyl alcohol), 20 to 50 wt. % of a softener mixture containing 30 to 70 wt.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing plasticized thermoplastic products, in particular flexible PVC, by means of an extruder wherein a thermoplastic processed with plasticizer to give a dry blend and a plasticizer are combined and heated to form the final product.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing foamed polyolefin-based plastics blocks by first crosslinking a matrix comprising a) from 51 to 97% by weight of one or more polyolefins, selected from the group consisting of polyethylene and ethylene copolymer, b) from 3 to 20% by weight of a foaming agent, using &bgr;-radiation of energy >6 MeV. The thickness of the matrix is from 25 to 45 mm. The radiation dose is from 20 to 150 kJ/kg. During the irradiation, atmospheric oxygen is at least substantially prevented from reaching the surface of the matrix. After crosslinking, the crosslinked matrix is foamed by heating to a temperature >160° C. and decomposing the blowing agent.
Abstract: A system and process for relining conveyor lines like pipelines (1) with an internal inliner (2) and an external inliner (preliner 7), whereby the internal inliner (2) forms a stiffened internal pipe (30) after insertion into the external inliner (preliner 7) and the external inliner (preliner 7) is arranged at such a distance from the internal inliner (2) that an open flow section is formed between the internal and external inliners as an inspection chamber to detect and, where necessary, remedy leaks in one of the inliners, alternatively, a system and process with an internal inliner (2), a central inliner (3) and an external inliner (preliner 7) whereby the internal inliner (2) or the latter together with the central inliner (3) form a stiffened internal pipe (38) after insertion in the external inliner and whereby the external inliner (preliner 7) is arranged at such a distance from the central inliner (3) that an open flow cross-section between the central and external in liners is formed as an inspectio
Abstract: A system for and process of relining transport lines such as sewerage pipelines having an inner tubular thermoplastic inliner, a tubular thermoplastic preliner disposed within the pipeline to be restored. The inner inliner being disposed concentrically and internally of the preliner and having on its exterior means to fix a defined annular space between the inner inliner and the preliner and for anchoring the inner inliner positively in a hardenable composition to be introduced in the annular space between the inner inliner and the preliner.
