  • Patent number: 7263922
Abstract: A fence for guiding a work surface past a saw blade supported by a table having a support tube running substantially perpendicular to the saw blade. The fence includes a rip fence having a plurality of studs disposed on opposing sides thereof. A pair of fence faces are positioned on opposing sides of the rip fence and have a plurality of slots for removably engaging the studs thereby securing the face fences to the rip fence. A rip fence head is affixed beneath the rip fence. A lockdown clasps the support tube with the rip fence head for securing the fence to the tablesaw. The lockdown includes an adjustment mechanism for stabilizing the fence to the support tube independently of the lockdown. The adjustment mechanism is adjustable relative to the lockdown so that the position of the fence on the support tube can be accurately adjusted by moving the fence relative to the lockdown mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6988719
Abstract: A stand for movably supporting a workpiece is disclosed. The stand includes a base, a support and a plurality of roller assemblies. The support is releasably connected to the base for permitting the height of the stand to be altered. The roller assemblies are mounted on diverging surfaces which are in turn mounted at oblique angles relative to the support for permitting non-interfering movement of the workpiece relative thereto. Each roller assembly includes a sphere captured within a collar mounted on a selected one of the diverging surfaces for permitting free-rolling movement of the sphere relative to the collar and the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 6843625
Abstract: A mobile base assembly wherein a plurality of wheels 12 are attached to a frame 14 for movably supporting the frame 14 on a support surface 16 and an anchor mechanism 10 lifts the wheels 12 from the support surface 16 and anchors the frame 14 to the support surface 16. A pair of spaced plates (20 or 22) are attached to the frame 14 and an anchor member 34 is pivotally mounted between the plates (20 or 22) for pivotal movement between an anchor position (FIG. 4) and a retracted position (FIG. 3). A lever 70 is pivotally mounted between the plates (20 or 22) and presents a cam 72 for engaging and pivoting the anchor member 34 against the biasing reaction of a spring 60 from the retracted position to the anchor position. A foot 40 is attached to a foot flange extending from the anchor member 34 and has a base 42 for engaging the support surface 16 in the anchor position.

  • Patent number: 6782976
Abstract: A brake and wheel assembly featuring a brake band and an actuator capable of being moved between first and second braking positions. The brake band is carried by a support and is suspended tangentially across the surface of a wheel. The wheel is rotatably supported on an axle. The actuator is supported in the assembly, and applies a tangential force on the brake band so that first and second braking surfaces on the brake band frictionally engage the actuator in the respective first and second braking positions.

  • Patent number: 6109625
Abstract: A mobile base assembly for movably supporting machinery comprises stamped corner members, extension members, support wheel attachments, caster wheel assemblies, and at least two stops for supporting the machinery in a stationary position. The extension members and the corner members each have a plurality of holes. The holes in the extension members can be aligned with the holes in the corner member for receipt of bolts to fasten the extension member to the corner member. Further, each caster wheel assembly has a lifting mechanism that allows the mobile base assembly to be raised and lowered. The mobile base assembly is mobile in the raised position and stationary in the lowered position. In an alternative embodiment the support wheel attachments and caster wheel assemblies are attached directly to the machinery.
