Abstract: An equipped balancing jacket includes a stiff back containing a first stage reducer connected by lines to a high and low pressure distributor connected to various equipment. The jacket further includes pneumatic exhaust valves, a manual emergency control and a mouth inflation devcie.

Abstract: A regulator includes a box-like body containing a device for regulating the flow of air. A tube connected to the box-like body carries a mouthpiece. An air inlet hose is connected to the box-like body by means of an inlet valve. This valve is controlled by the regulating device. One or more exhaust hoses are connected to the box-like body. A tube formed integrally within the box-like body of the regulator bypasses the chamber of the regulating device.

Abstract: Multiple distributor for low-pressure uses forming part of the equipment of a scuba diver equipped with a self-contained breathing apparatus. A distributor body is connected by a single pipe to the first-stage pressure reducer of one or more cylinders. The body is connected via connectors for with the following: a second-stage pressure reduce for an emergency mouthpiece, a second-stage pressure reducer connected to the diver's mouthpiece, and the inflation connection of a balancing jacket, the air inlet to the latter connection being controlled via an appropriate cut off valve operated by a push-button mounted on the distributor body.

Abstract: A balancing jacket for scuba divers includes at least two valves for discharge of air. All the valves are connected to a pneumatic-control pipe, and preferably at least one of the valves is located in the bottom part of the balancing jacket and at least one in the top part. The air-discharge valves are air valves of the open-close type with spring-operated return combined with non-return valves to prevent any entry of water into the jacket.

Abstract: A hydrostatic balancing jacket includes a dorsal element ending into two shoulder strips and two pectoral-abdominal strips. The dorsal element is equipped, on its outer side, with two wing-shaped strips. The wing-shaped strips are connected to the dorsal element along one of their rims. The wing-shaped strips are symmetrically located with respect to the longitudinal axis of the element and are inflatable.

Abstract: Swimming flipper consisting of: a shoe made of a relatively soft material and equipped with a sole made of a stiffer material, said shoe being laterally and frontally provided with at least two protruding elements, and a blade whose base is hinged to the sole of the shoe in an area between said protruding elements by means of two extensible elements, said protruding elements being suitable to hit against the upper surface of the blade.

Abstract: Orthodontic tooth grip for mouthpieces of breathing pipes and/or of dispensers of self-contained breathing apparatus for scuba divers, consisting of two hollow bodies made of very thin and very elastic material and filled with a very fluid material. The said material is, for example, a liquid and/or a gel and/or a pasty material. The said tooth grip may be replaced in the event of it getting damaged.

Abstract: A swimming flipper of the kind equipped with a blade, on which a shoe-shaped part (open or closed) is moulded, and the blade stretches itself towards the back so as to form a portion of the sole of the shoe-shaped part. Ribbings are obtained during the moulding phase of the shoe-shaped part with the same material as the shoe-shaped part, thus allowing the use of a relatively stiff material for the blade.

Abstract: A device worn by a first diver provides a warning of conditions of danger and/or emergency to a second diver positioned at a distance from the first diver. The device includes a device for detecting the pressure in the compressed-air tanks, a device for transducing the detected datum, and a device for indicating the aforesaid datum.

Abstract: Regulator for underwater breathing apparatus, comprising a box-like body containing the device that regulates the admission of air from the first reducing stage, fitted with a mouthpiece through which the air is inhaled and an outlet through which the exhaled air is discharged, the air-regulating device comprising a chamber in which the regulating valve is located and chamber that communicates with the surrounding water, the chambers being separated by a diaphragm that controls the regulating valve, with the chamber that communicates with the surrounding water being delimited by the diaphragm and by a wall provided with plurality of a apertures; the apertures are provided with a grid-like element that break up the flow of fluid through the latter.

Abstract: A balancing jacket for scuba divers is in the form of a sleeve-less waist-length jacket made from strong, heavy materials worn over a diving suit made from neoprene. Pads made from a soft plastics material are placed in the armholes and in the neck area of the jacket. The jacket further includes a soft back covered with an elastomeric material with a high coefficient of friction on neoprene.

Abstract: Open-shoe type swimming flipper, to be worn on a foot wearing a boot, the shoe including an element of insole and an element for holding the front of the boot. The element of insole of the flipper is provided with a number of coupling elements which fit into a number of complementary coupling elements made in the sole of said boot. The element for holding the front of the foot is connected permanently at least along one side edge to one side edge of the part of the insole of the flipper, whilst the other side edge may be connected by clasping devices directly to the opposite side edge of the part of insole of the flipper or to the free edge of an element, which, in turn is connected to said opposite side edge of the part of insole of the flipper.

Abstract: Diving computer includes a pressure sensor, a timer, a processing unit and a display screen. The processing unit processes the pressure and time data according to a given algorithm and shows on the display screen at least the data relating to how long the diver can stay at a given depth within the decompression curve. The computer is also provided with one or more mechanisms for signalling an alarm. This signalling mechanism includes a mechanism for producing permanent visual signals differentiated according to the seriousness of the errors made, which signals are controlled by the processing unit.

Abstract: A first reducing stage for a two-stage breathing apparatus includes a metal body having at least one inlet for the compressed air coming from the cylinder or cylinders and a plurality of outlets for the air at a reduced pressure. The body is enclosed in a casing having suitable apertures providing access to the inlet and to the outlets.

Abstract: Diving mask comprising a body and a strap attached to the sides of the said body, the said strap comprising: two box-like elements which are open at one end and each of which is attached at the other end to one side of the body of the said mask, a rotating pin being housed inside the said elements with its axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the said opening; and a ribbon-like element made of elastomeric material, the two ends of which pass around the said rotating pins, the said ends being attached, such that their length can be adjusted, to two corresponding parts of a quick-release buckle.

Abstract: A pressure regulator for the first reduction stage of a two-stage aqualung. The regulator includes an inlet passage connected to a supply of breathable gases at high pressure; an outlet passage for the gases leading to a second stage regulator; a valve between the inlet passage and the outlet passage; the valve including a valve seat provided with central a through passage and a guided shutoff element; a flexing chamber communicating by one end with the surronding environment and closed at the other end by an impermeable and elastically deformable diaphragm; a rod-like member in contact by one end with the diaphragm and extending with clearance by its other end through the central passage of the valve seat up to the shutoff element. The valve means comprising a planar valve seat, and a shutoff element the portion of which, cooperating with the valve seat, is hemispherical sectioned.

Abstract: A water-tight diving suit has the edges of the open extremities of the sleeves and the trousers of the suit and the neck provided with a hem which is folded inwards and secured, for example by stitching, to the inside edge of the suit, so as to form a tubular pocket. A tape-like stiffening element made of elastomeric material is housed inside this pocket. The suit can be made as a one-piece or two-piece suit. In the case of one-piece suits, which combine both jacket and trouser parts, these have, in the region of the access opening which can be closed by a zipper, an edge with a hem folded inwards and secured, for example by stitching, to the inside edge of the suit, so as to form a tubular pocket, inside which a tape-like element made of elastomeric material is housed. The suit may be further provided with a separate hood.

Abstract: A diving mask includes a frame with a monocular or binocular lens, fasteners for a strap located on the sides of the said frame, and a structure made of elastomeric material, located between the frame and the lens and constituting the body element of the mask. The top edges of the fasteners are located close to or aligned with the top edge of the frame so that the bottom edge of the mask lifts up and the top part of the mask remains firmly in contact with the diver's face as a result of air being blown through the diver's nose. No other strap is secured to the frame.
