Abstract: The present disclosure relates to example SMS processing methods in an Internet of Things, mobility management network elements, and terminal devices, to provide an SMS service for an Internet of Things terminal device. One example method includes receiving, by a mobility management network element in a packet switched (PS) domain, a non-combined registration request from a terminal device, where the non-combined registration request carries SMS only indication information. When determining that the mobility management network element in the PS domain cannot transfer an SMS for the terminal device through the PS domain, the mobility management network element in the PS domain sends a location update request to a mobility management network element in a circuit switched (CS) domain The location update request is used to implement registration of the terminal device with the CS domain.

Abstract: A method for differential compression includes receiving input data blocks that are selected for compression. For each input data block, the input data block is divided into at least two segments. For each of the at least two segments, a similarity degree between the respective segment and each of the data blocks excluding the respective data block is computed. For each of the at least two segments, the data block which has a biggest similarity degree with the respective segment among the data blocks excluding the respective data block is selected as an optimal reference data block for the respective segment. The differential compression is applied to the input data block and optimal reference blocks in response to determining a differential compression that is to be applied based on the similarity degree between the segments of the input data block and the corresponding optimal reference blocks.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to graphics processing units (GPU), In one aspect, a GPU includes a general purpose register (GPR) including registers, an arithmetic logic unit (ALU) reading pixels of an image independently of a shared memory, and a level 1 (L1) cache storing pixels to implement a pixel mapping that maps the pixels read from the L1 cache into the registers of the GPR. The pixel mapping includes separating pixels of an image into three regions, with each region including a set of pixels. A first and second set of the pixels are loaded into registers corresponding to two of the three regions horizontally, and a third set of the pixels are loaded into registers corresponding to the third of the three regions vertically. Each of the registers in the first, second, and third registers are loaded as a contiguous ordered number of registers in the GPR.

Abstract: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes receiving a bitstream comprising a current picture including a sub-picture coded according to inter-prediction. A motion vector for a block of the sub-picture is determined. A clipping function is applied to sample locations in a reference block to support application of an interpolation filter when the motion vector points outside of the sub-picture and when a flag is set to indicate the sub-picture is treated as a picture. The interpolation filter is applied to results of the clipping function to obtain a predicted sample value. The block is decoded based on the predicted sample value. The block is forwarded for display as part of a decoded video sequence.

When the first line rate is equal to the second line rate, the first BBU sends networking relationship information of the first BBU to the second BBU at the first line rate, and receives networking relationship information of the second BBU that is sent by the second BBU at the second line rate. The first BBU establishes a bidirectional upper-layer communication channel with the second BBU based on a communication address of the second BBU allocated by the first BBU.
