  • Patent number: 10697844
Abstract: The present disclosure includes a pressure transducer comprising: a frame; a cantilevered beam; a resilient beam portion; a signal processing circuit; a wiring terminal; and a support member. The resilient beam portion anchors the cantilevered beam to the frame. The cantilevered beam moves in response to a pressure-induced force applied to the cantilevered beam and the resilient beam portion bends producing a strain within the resilient beam portion. The support member comprises a cavity and the signal processing circuit is entirely installed inside the cavity. There is a strain gauge diffused into, implanted into, and/or affixed to the resilient beam portion. The cavity of the support member includes a first aperture disposed along the first surface of the support member and the inner surface of the frame covers the first aperture.

  • Patent number: 10260977
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to differential pressure transducers. The teachings thereof may be embodied in diaphragm-beam configurations for measuring small values of differential pressure and/or a bridge circuit for converting mechanical strains into an electric output signal. For example, a diaphragm-beam structure for measuring differential pressure may include: a frame; a paddle; a resilient beam member; a diaphragm; and a gap defined between the paddle and the frame. The diaphragm flexes under pressure on one surface. The resilient beam member anchors the paddle to the frame. The second surface of the diaphragm is mounted to the first surface of the paddle and the frame to bridge the gap. The paddle moves due to flexure of the diaphragm. The resilient beam member bends due to movement of the paddle. The thickness of the diaphragm is less than 50 micrometers.

  • Patent number: 5421242
Abstract: A membrane supporting plate (10) includes on its outer rim (20) an axially directed ring groove (30), into which an annular membrane (22) is inserted, free from distortion, by its clamping boss (28) disposed on its inner rim. A beaded rim (32) disposed next to the ring groove (30) on the membrane supporting plate (10) is deformed radially outwards by a beading process. As a result of the effected sealing of the ring groove (30), the membrane (22), which is made from highly elastic material, is anchored pressure-tight and free from distortion to the membrane supporting plate (10).

  • Patent number: 4663974
Abstract: A diaphragm arranged between two pressure chambers is coupled through a diaphragm plate to a leaf spring. The leaf spring is fixed at one end and is provided with an actuating boss. A free end of the leaf spring serves as an armature which cooperates with a measurement transducer operating on the contactless principle. The measurement transducer delivers a constant electrical output signal as the input signal of a constant regulator or, alternatively, for switching a two-threshold regulator. Due to the low mass of such a leaf spring, the sensor incorporating the transducer is largely independent of orientation and insensitive to mechanical shock.
