Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for traffic flow classification using machine learning. In some implementations, a communication device includes an anomaly detector comprising a machine learning model trained to predict whether data traffic patterns differ from a set of observed traffic patterns present in a set of training data. The communication device includes a traffic classifier comprising a machine learning model trained to predict a quality of service (QoS) class for network connections or data flows. The communication device is configured to evaluate network connections or data flows using the anomaly detector. The communication device may (i) use the traffic classifier to predict QoS classes for traffic that the anomaly detector predicts to be similar to the observed traffic patterns, and (ii) store data traffic that the anomaly detector predicts to be different from the observed traffic patterns.

The first stage can include a variable decimation, using a particular implementation of variable sample block size.
Abstract: A satellite communication system that combines the benefits of Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (GEO) and Non-geostationary (NGSO) satellite systems into a GEO-NGSO hybrid satellite system. The hybrid system allows for various uses, such as, a NGSO-GEO-NGSO handoff, a GEO-NGSO-GEO handoff, and/or a multi-transport operation utilizing both the GEO and NGSO satellites. Based on the path delay differences of the GEO and NGSO satellites, the system may create a data buffer to ensure no data loss.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for channel bonding in an adaptive coding and modulation mode. In some implementations, a system receives packets of a data stream for transmission in a satellite communications system. The system determines a modulation and coding arrangement for the received packets. The system generates code blocks that include data from the packets of the data stream. The system assigns the generated code blocks for transmission on different carriers. One or more of the different carriers is operated in an adaptive coding and modulation mode to support multiple modulation and coding arrangements within a single carrier. The system transmits the code blocks on the different carriers using the determined one or more modulation and coding arrangements.

Abstract: A method and system for service management of a complex network including: computing, at a computer, a weather impact score for geographic areas within a coverage area of a satellite; predicting, based on the weather impact score for each of the geographic areas, a degradation of at least one of the satellite links serving a respective geographic area; and sending a notification about the degradation. The method may include calculating, with a computer, a peak Quality of Service (QoS) for each of the satellite links; aggregating, for a duration, transmission errors to calculate an actual QoS for each of the satellite links; and displaying a drill-down dashboard comprising a color-code for each of the satellite links, wherein the color-code corresponds to a severity of a respective discrepancy between a respective peak QoS and a respective actual QoS of a respective satellite link.
Abstract: A system for providing efficient, reliable, and accurate calibration and measurements of a satellite communication (SATCOM) test system, especially in E-band frequencies where precision of measurement and calibration plays a large role in reliable communications at terabit data rates. The system may include a vector network analyzer (VNA), at 67 GHz operation, calibrated using SOLT-type calibrations. The vector network analyzer (VNA) may be communicatively coupled to a device under test (DUT) or system under test (SUT) to obtain calibration and measurement data. The system may also include a signal generator for generating at least one signal. The system may further include an active mixer communicatively coupled to the signal generator. The active mixer may up-convert the least one signal to E-band frequencies. In some examples, the vector network analyzer (VNA), the local oscillator (LO) signal generator, and the active mixer may be synchronized or phase-locked using a reference.
Abstract: Various multi-processor unified memory management systems and methods are detailed herein. In embodiments detailed herein, inter-chip memory management modules may be executed by processors that are in communication via an inter-chip link. A flat memory map may be used across the multiple processors of the system. Each inter-chip memory management module may analyze memory transactions. If the memory transaction is directed to a portion of the flat memory map managed by another processor, the memory-transaction may be translated to a non-memory mapped transaction and transmitted via an inter-chip communication link.

Abstract: Various arrangements for monitoring and enforcing multi-tier throughput assignments in a network, such as satellite-based communication network, are presented. Throughput usage may be monitored on a beam-level, satellite-level, gateway-level, and system level. Throughput usage for individual satellite terminals may be aggregated and used to determine the throughput usage on an entity-by-entity basis. An entity can have one or more sub-entities to which throughput is allocated. Excessive throughput usage for higher-tier entities can result in throughput being restricted for satellite terminals associated with lower-tier entities.
