Abstract: An antibacterial wound dressing, a method for preparing the antibacterial wound dressing, and a use of the antibacterial wound dressing are provided. The antibacterial wound dressing is obtained by amidating carboxymethyl cellulose with a guanidine compound. The carboxymethyl cellulose has a substitution degree of 0.1-0.6, and the guanidine compound has a grafting degree of 0.2%-10.0%.

When the cationic polymer polyhexamethylene guanide salt is mixed with the anionic polymer alginate, the antimicrobial activity of the guanide salt is quickly passivated. The present disclosure achieves a lower content of polyhexamethylene guanide salt in an alginate dressing with good long-term antimicrobial activities. The polyhexamethylene guanide salt has a low dissolution rate, and significantly reduces a potential risk of carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and reproductive toxicity.

Abstract: A biodegradable and water-soluble hemostatic material is provided. The hemostatic material comprises an oxidized regenerated cellulose salt having a degree of carboxylic acid oxidation not less than 5%, a degree of etherification of 0.2 to 1.2 and a number average molecular weight of 50,000 to 200,000. The hemostatic material according to the present invention offers improved hemostatic effect, absorbability and operability over existing hemostatic products. A method for preparing the hemostatic material is further provided.
