Abstract: Pulverulent polyamide coating compositions consisting of a mixture of similar polyamides having on the average at least nine aliphatically bound carbon atoms per carbonamide group and of different relative viscosity, the difference in relative viscosities amounting to at least 0.04 and at most 0.1 units. The mixtures are obtained by mixing powders prepared both by precipitation or by cold grinding or also by mixing the corresponding granulates which subsequently are then cold ground.
Abstract: A process for preparing asymmetric ketones by using a catalyst containing cerium oxide on an aluminum oxide support where the asymmetric ketones are prepared from carboxylic acid mixture at high conversions and good selectivity. The asymmetric ketones produced are for instance methyl-ethyl-ketone, ethyl-butyl-ketone, methyl-isopropyl-ketone or methyl-octyl-ketone.
Abstract: An agitator vessel is equipped with a radially conveying agitator and with at least one baffle, for the thorough mixing of liquids, the at least one baffle has the shape of an airfoil profile and is arranged below the level of liquids and above the blades of the agitator. The agitator vessel is equipped with a radially conveying agitator 3 and at least one baffle 2, the latter having the shape of an airfoil profile.

Abstract: Alkylidene compounds and arylidene compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding CH-acidic compounds with carbonyl compounds in the presence of a catalyst comprising a metal compound of a metal of Groups IIA, IIIA, IVA, IB, IIB, VIB, VIIB, or VIIIB of the periodic table of elements. The rate of reaction is increased by adding 1 to 40% water referred to the weight of catalyst used.
