  • Patent number: 5941101
Abstract: A belt edge burnishing machine for burnishing the edges of a plurality of belts simultaneously. The belt edge burnishing machine comprises a conveyor and at least one buffing wheel positioned above the conveyor which is rotated about an axis parallel to the ground and to the conveyor. The belts are stacked on an edges finish board with the unfinished edges facing up. The edge finish board is placed on the conveyor which conveys the plurality of belts through the burnishing machine. As the belts pass beneath the rotating buffing wheel, the buffing wheel contacts all of the exposed unfinished edges, thus buffing the edges smooth.

  • Patent number: 5772039
Abstract: A packaging system for displaying articles such as wallets in a manner such that the wallets are readily accessible to shoppers, but are relatively difficult to shoplift. The packaging system comprises three main elements: a box, a box insert, and an attachment mechanism which secures the article to the box insert. The box insert is then adhesively attached to the box. In a first embodiment, the article is secured to the box insert using a filament loop. In a second embodiment, the article is attached to the box insert using a flat loop.

  • Patent number: 5515550
Abstract: A reversible apparel belt having a plurality of interconnected links is disclosed. Each link is formed from two pieces of flexible sheet material which are fastened together. The outside surface of the first piece of flexible sheet material differs in appearance from the outside surface of the second piece of flexible sheet material. The front face of the belt is formed from the outside surfaces of the first pieces of flexible sheet material and the back face of the belt is formed from the outside surfaces of the second pieces of flexible material so as to provide a reversible belt.

  • Patent number: 4570354
Abstract: A radius of curvature transducer has an integrally molded body, flexible in a bending mode with two contained wire guide tubes extending the length thereof, spaced laterally from and parallel to the body neutral axis and displaced 90.degree. angularly about the neutral axis. A push-pull wire is fixed to one end of the body and extends freely through each wire guide. An LVDT sensor, having a movable core, is coupled to the free end of each push-pull wire. As the body is subjected to bending, the wires are displaced in the passages and in turn displace the moving member in the LVDT causing signal outputs indicative of the difference in length of the path along which the wire extends relative to the neutral axis. Calculations convert the signals to radius of curvature indications and indications of the coordinates of one end of the transducer body relative to the other end.
