Abstract: A printable laminate film having improved resistance to delamination or separation of the layers of the laminate. The invention concerns the use of a new combination of ink absorber materials and adhesive materials in a single ink recording layer on a carrier film. The adhesive is selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes, vinyl ester copolymers, acrylic copolymers and ionomeric copolymers, and the ink absorber is selected from the group consisting of blends of cationic polymers, blends of cationic polymers and cellulose ether, and polyvinyl alcohol.
