The substrate material forming a body-receiving portion and a limb-receiving portion extending from the body-receiving portion, whereby the body-receiving portion includes a first opening sized for circumscribing a neck of the wearer and the limb-receiving portion includes a second opening sized for circumscribing a limb of the wearer. A flocking material is arranged adjacent the inner surface of the substrate material proximate at least one of the first opening and the second opening.

Abstract: A structure for an article of clothing is provided and may include a first material layer defining an opening of the article of clothing and having a first portion defining an inner surface of the opening and an outer surface formed on an opposite side of the first portion than the inner surface and defining an outer surface of the opening. The structure may additionally include a plastic film attached to the inner surface and movable between a relaxed state and an expanded state, whereby the plastic film substantially surrounds the opening of the article of clothing.

Abstract: An article of clothing is provided and includes a body having a first panel and a second panel cooperating to define a pair of leg openings that receive respective legs of a person during use, whereby at least one of the first panel and the second panel is formed from a first material having a first modulus of elasticity. A waistband is coupled to the first panel and the second panel and includes a waist opening that is positioned at a waist of a person during use. The waistband includes a first portion partially surrounding a first length of the waist opening and formed of a second material having a second modulus of elasticity and a second portion partially surrounding a second length of the waist opening and formed of a third material having a third modulus of elasticity greater than the second modulus of elasticity.

The first textile forms a majority of an exterior surface and an opposite interior surface of the apparel, and the first textile exhibits at least thirty percent stretch prior to tensile failure. The second textile is located around a waistband portion of the apparel, and the second textile exhibits less than ten percent stretch prior to tensile failure.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a multi-layered design for an article of apparel such as swimwear. In particular, at least one layer may include a stretch resistant matrix made of a thermoplastic polymer, a silicone or other similar material to provide additional support and modesty to certain areas of the apparel, such as the bust area. Further, a method of manufacturing the article of apparel is also disclosed. According to aspects described herein, the layers may be integrated using techniques to increase the overall integrity of the apparel.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a reversible shirt that may be worn in at least four different configurations. According to aspects described herein, a first torso element may be joined to a second torso element to create a pair of side seams, a pair of shoulder seams, a neck opening and a waist opening. The widths of the first torso element and the second torso element proximate the waist opening may differ to create curved side seams. The curved side seams allow for variation in drape against a wearer's torso.

Abstract: A wetsuit for aquatic activities is disclosed below. The wetsuit includes a base layer and a backing layer. The base layer may be formed from a thermal insulation material, for example, and the base layer has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The backing layer is secured to the first surface of the base layer, and the backing layer has less stretch than the base layer. In addition, the wetsuit includes a plurality of sipes extending through at least the backing layer.

For example, the waistband elements may be (a) a layered structure with a textile layer and a polymer layer, (b) a layered structure joined with stitching, (c) a layered structure joined with bonds, (d) a layered structure formed from a folded material element. In order to limit stretch in the waistband region, a tensile component may be utilized.
