Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method for coating metallic sheets which involves controlling the surface characteristics of the molten coating material in the area that the metal sheet enters and leaves so that the effect of contaminants on the coating operation will be minimized. The invention also pertains to an apparatus for carrying out this method.
