Abstract: A molded plastic seating module is disclosed which is suitable for assembly in groups to form bench type row seating especially telescoping bleachers. Each module is hollow and comprises two sections, a contoured seat and an upstanding base. The base is adapted to be secured to the support structure both vertically and horizontally and to resist tipping and the presence of structural stress concentrations in use. The seat is adapted to engage the base in a snap fit relation along its front and rear walls.

Abstract: Apparatus is provided for supporting structures employing a free-standing column of angular cross-section having flanges of substantially equal length and an included angle between the flanges of between about 80.degree. and 45.degree.. A specific embodiment employs the column in combination in a telescoping grandstand structure.

Abstract: A multiple seating arrangement and method of assembling same is provided comprising a base on which is mounted a continuous series of hollow seat modules in over-lapping, generally contiguous relation, each module having a fastening strip at its end. A first module is secured to the base at one end by its fastening strip and at the other end by barbed (or other type) fasteners secured to the base. Succeeding modules are secured at one end over the fastening strip of the previous module in such a way as to cover the securing means passing through the fastening strip into the base. A final module is made up by removing the fastening strip of a module, placing it under the end from which the fastening strip was removed, and using part of it there to secure that end to the base by means of a barbed fastener.

Abstract: Apparatus is provided for setting up and collapsing long rows of seats for stadiums or auditoriums, wherein a simple camoperated release mechanism is operated from the end of each row permitting simple, convenient and rapid collapsing of rows with a minimum of personnel.

Abstract: A bleacher stand of the telescoping kind, wherein a plurality of sections each including a platform and a seat are arranged to be stacked for storage in a vertical column, with the sections situated one above another and to be withdrawn from said stacked position to an extended position wherein the sections are stepped, characterized in that there are guard rails fastened to the ends of the platform portions of the sections which slope upwardly and outwardly therefrom so that when the sections are stacked the guard rails nest one within another.
