Abstract: A method for connecting an annuloplasty implant with a delivery and retrieval device includes retracting the annuloplasty implant towards a locking structure of the delivery and retrieval device with a retrieval element. The retrieval element connects the annuloplasty implant with the delivery and retrieval device when the annuloplasty implant is disconnected from the delivery and retrieval device. A complementary mating surface at an end portion of the annuloplasty implant is interlocked with a locking structure of the delivery and retrieval device. The complementary mating surface has a recess for locking longitudinal movement of the annuloplasty implant when it is received in the locking structure. The complementary mating surface has a first locking surface aligned in a first radial direction (R) to lock rotational movement of the annuloplasty implant, when received in the locking structure, around the longitudinal direction.
