Abstract: A chimney cap for installation on a chimney, comprising a lid assembly, a bracket for supporting the lid assembly, and revolving clamps pivotally connected to the bracket for releasable attachment to various dimensions of chimney flue tiles. The clamps are pivotable for rotation between a first position for accommodating a first dimension of chimney flue tiles and a second position for accommodating a second dimension of chimney flue tiles, the second dimension being larger than the first dimension. The clamps each comprise at least two oppositely disposed spring loaded cam action toggles for gripping opposite sides of the chimney flue tiles irrespective of the thickness of the tiles.

Abstract: A chimney cap for mounting onto a residential or building flue, including a cover, incorporating inclined flanges around its perimeter, for discharging of any elements exposed thereto. The cover being held by brackets a fixed distance above the upper edge of the chimney flue, and in co-operation with clamp means tightly securing the brackets, and the entire cover, onto the identified flue. A foraminous member in the nature of screen or wire may be draped around the braces and extending downwardly for connecting to or even slightly overlapping of the chimney flue, and being held in position by means of holding devices, in order to also prevent the entrance of any animals, rodents, birds, or the like, undesirably into the chimney.

Abstract: In a chimney cap for providing coverage for the upper end of a chimney flue, the cap includes a cover, a band arranged there below, sufficient space in between the cover and the band to allow the development of a draft for removal of smoke and fumes, a foraminous screen arranged structurally between the cover and band, and retentioners, in the category of resiliently biasing appendages, removably connecting with the band and for use for tightening of the cap within and to the chimney flue.
