    Abstract: A surfboard having composite covered honeycomb deck and bottom surfaces. The surfboard has a hollow inner volume which contains a longitudinally oriented stringer. The stringer is spaced both from the nose of the surfboard and from the tail of the surfboard so that the nose and tail are more flexible than the length containing the stringer. The process of making the board is also disclosed.
