  • Patent number: 4858480
Abstract: The invention relates to a swash plate swivel bearing for a hydraulic axial piston machine, in which roller-bearing segments are arranged between the hollow cylindrical bearing surface for the swash plate in the housing and the cylindrical bearing surface on the swash plate, which segments are held in curved cages with each of which is associated a tracker having a tracking mechanism guided by a guide member in a first guide, which mechanism is in drive connection with a carrier of the cage. It is the object of the invention to design a swash plate swivel bearing of the construction indicated above so that the guide member can cooperate directly with the carrier of the cage.

  • Patent number: 4029367
Abstract: A sliding swivel link is kinematically connected to an arcuate bearing cage in a hydraulic axial cylinder machine (of the kind having a concave cylindrical bearing face in the machine casing, a corresponding convex cylindrical bearing face on the swashplate, and an arcuate bearing cage with rolling contact bearing elements contained within the cage and disposed in the space between the concave and convex bearing cases) for positively displacing the bearing cage to a theoretically correct position on each change of tilt of the swashplate. The sliding swivel link includes a flexurally elastic rod which is pivotally connected at one end to the swashplate and which is pivotally connected at its other end to the casing. The rod is longitudinally slidable within the pivotal connection to the swashplate and is also linked to the bearing cage so that the bearing cage is always urged into a position on the line connecting the two pivotal connections at the opposite ends of the rod.

  • Patent number: 3943828
Abstract: In a rotary machine a piston member articulated to a rotary drive member reciprocates in a piston-reciprocation chamber in a piston block mounted for rotation obliquely to the drive member. The piston member comprises a first length, whose cross-section decreases with increasing distance in opposite directions from a plane of maximum cross-section corresponding to the chamber cross-section, and an adjacent length, whose cross-section decreases with increasing distance from the first length, engaging in the chamber for torque transmission between the drive member and the block via the piston member.
