Abstract: Described herein relates to a deposit/withdrawal apparatus of an automated teller machine (ATM) and a control method thereof, and more particularly, relates to a deposit/withdrawal apparatus of ATM which is a deposit/withdrawal apparatus of a present type ATM which receives or discharges a bill by moving a tray for loading a bill forwards and backwards during a deposit/withdrawal transaction, and a control method thereof, in which the deposit/withdrawal apparatus is configured to include a tray for loading a bill, a clamp for fixing a bill, a shutter for opening or closing an entrance of a bill, and a camera mounted at one side of the bill insertion slot through which the tray enters, to determine an insertion status of a bill from an image photographed by the camera, and to control operations of the tray, the clamp, and the shutter.

Abstract: An automatic teller machine includes a first interface unit, a second interface unit, a front panel and a control unit. The first interface unit is configured to display financial information for financial transaction to a user. The second interface unit is disposed in a region different from a region in which the first interface unit is disposed. The second interface unit has a plurality of operation parts to be operated by the user. The front panel is movable to a first position in which the operation parts are hidden from the outside of the automatic teller machine and a second position in which the operation parts are exposed to the outside of the automatic teller machine. The control unit is configured to control the front panel so as to be located in one of the first position and the second position.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a cassette shutter in which the durability of a curved shutter for opening and closing a medium entrance of a cassette is improved, and assembly of parts is simple. In the present invention for achieving said objective, a cassette shutter, which is slidably disposed on front and bottom surfaces of a cassette storing a paper medium therein and opens and closes an entrance formed in the front surface of the cassette, is configured to include: a plurality of pieces arranged longitudinally and a fastening pin that passes through and thereby fastens a lower portion of an upper-side piece and an upper portion of a lower-side piece so as to enable relative rotation of the plurality of pieces.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a worn banknote identification method and an ATM (Automated Teller Machine) using the same, and more particularly, to a worn banknote identification method which acquires an image of a banknote inserted into an ATM, divides pixels of the acquired banknote image into a bright region and dark region depending on a brightness distribution of the banknote image, determines the wear level of the banknote by comparing a difference between the average brightness values of the two regions to a preset reference value, and separately stores the inserted banknote into a reject box depending on the wear level of the banknote, and an ATM using the same.

Abstract: A banknote separation apparatus, for a banknote bundle receiving machine, includes a guide unit, a pickup roller unit, a pickup roller raising/lowering unit, a feeding roller unit and a gate roller unit. The guide unit is provided on a route along which a banknote bundle inputted into the banknote bundle receiving machine is moved. The pickup roller unit is provided above the guide unit in a spaced-apart relationship with the guide unit and configured to separate a banknote from the banknote bundle and to feed the banknote. The pickup roller raising/lowering unit is configured to raise or lower the pickup roller unit. The feeding roller unit is provided on a back side of the pickup roller unit. The gate roller unit is provided under the feeding roller unit and configured to maintain a predetermined distance from the feeding roller unit.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to providing a banknote stacking apparatus capable of stably stacking banknotes even when various types of banknotes are stacked therein by preventing banknotes stacked in the banknote stacking space from being blown away. The banknote stacking apparatus includes a stacker for stacking banknotes in the banknote stacking space; a push plate for supporting the banknotes stacked in the banknote stacking space and be movable in a reciprocating direction; a stack guide configured to guide the banknote which passes the stacker to be loaded into the banknote stacking space; a damper configured to press the banknote introduced into one side of the banknote stacking space toward the push plate located on the other side of the banknote stacking space; and a damper driver operating the damper to move in a direction toward the banknote stacking space and a direction away from the banknote stacking space.
