  • Patent number: 4038506
Abstract: An oil pressure switch comprising a housing having an inlet end connectable to an oil pressure line to admit oil from the line within the housing. A flexible membrane is secured in the housing and having opposed surfaces. One of these opposed surfaces is in contact with the oil admitted to the housing while the other of the surfaces is in engagement with a spring biased electrical contact. The spring biased electrical contact is in abutting engagement with a stationary electrical contact. Connection means is provided for each of the electrical contacts. The membrane is displaced by pressure in the oil line whereby the spring biased contact is caused to be displaced against its spring biased direction to cause disengagement with the stationary electrical contact.

  • Patent number: 4027130
Abstract: A cable activated switch comprising a hollow housing having opposed open ends to permit passage of a cable there-through. Guide means is provided in the housing for restricted planar displacement of the cable extending therethrough. A pair of spaced electrical contacts are secured in the housing. A contact bridge member is resiliently biased in a direction away from the contacts and in alignment therewith. The contact bridge is displaced against its biased direction by tensioning the cable between the opposed open ends of the housing whereby the contact bridge will contact the pair of electrical contacts to form an electrical flow path therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4025748
Abstract: A switch comprising a housing and a switch activating rod extending within the housing. An electrically conductive element is displaceable by the rod within the housing. The rod is resiliently biased axially in one direction to a first position where the conductive element will engage a first set of electrical contacts in the housing. Lock means is provided and associated with the rod for locking the rod in a further position when displaced axially in opposition to the said first position. The conductive element engages a second set of electrical contacts when the rod is locked in the said further position. The rod is unlocked and urged to the first position by depressing the lock means.
