Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of vaccination. In particular, the invention relates to immunization by administration of a nucleic acid encoding a gene produce (e.g., proteins, glycoproteins, lipoproteins) of an infectious or non-infectious agent. In accordance with the invention, it has been found that dimethyldialkylammonium salts enhance the immune response of a nucleic acid vaccine.
