Abstract: A portable light-emitting display device having one or more rotating members including one or more light sources mounted or otherwise affixed thereto. The one or more rotating members are coupled to a motor. The motor and the light sources are each electrically coupled to one or more controllers, which control the speed at which the motor rotates the one or more rotating members and controls a lighting frequency and/or an intensity of all or one or more of the light sources or any combination thereof, to create a visual effect.

Abstract: A toy flashlight formed in a configuration including a strobe module. The flashlight includes a handle housing and a releasably mounted transparent enclosure with the strobe module enclosed therebetween. The strobe module is provided to switch a light source between ON state and an OFF state to create a rapidly blinking light. Further, a strobing circuit is provided to control the switching mechanism of the strobe module. In this manner, the strobe module with strobing circuit can be inserted into a conventional flashlight to enhance its play value.

Abstract: A portable lighted microphone formed in a configuration which outputs light, sound and color simultaneously. The lighted microphone includes a hand-held housing having a microphone assembly for detecting an external voice sound. A speaker assembly is positioned in the housing and is coupled to the microphone for outputting the external voice sound. A light source is mounted in the housing and is coupled to the microphone for emitting a beam of light. A modulating circuit within the housing is coupled to the microphone and the light source for modulating the beam of light in time sequence with the voice sound received by the microphone.

Abstract: An illuminated toy sword includes a handle. A light source mounted in said handle provides focused light. A light rod has a first end and a second end, the first end being optically coupled to the light source. The light source is focused upon the second end of the light rod, such that the light rod is substantially evenly illuminated.

Abstract: A toy ball of increased play value is provided and includes a sphere. A light source is disposed within the sphere. A switch disposed within the sphere activates the light source when the ball is impacted such as when it is bounced.

Abstract: An animated paddle includes a handle and a paddle rotationally mounted to the handle. The paddle includes a plurality of light emitting diodes. The light emitting diodes are selectively illuminated in accordance with a predetermined pattern. However, the light emitting diodes may be illuminated to transmit a message, such as a word, or they may be illuminated to produce designs, such as circles of sequentially greater and lesser size.

Abstract: A toy flashlight includes a color filter assembly that is releasably mounted to a handle housing and contains at least two distinct color filters. Light beams are transmitted through the colored filters. A globe is included as part of the color filter assembly and includes reflective objects in a variety of colors and shapes therein. By moving the flashlight, color beams of light are scattered off the reflective objects to provide a random color light display.

Abstract: A yawing system for a wind mill consists of two yawing motors (9, 11) acting on a toothed rim of the yawing bearing. On each its drive shaft (21) the motors (9, 11) are provided with a free wheel (23) and an electromagnetic friction brake (25). The free wheel devices (23) are directed opposite each other. A control system operates in a passive state in such a manner that the motors give opposite and relative to the braking moment of the brake (25) of a second motor smaller torque thereby avoiding dead clearance between drive wheel (15) and toothed rim (17) while at the same time keeping the generator housing (5) of the mill at rest. In the active state of the control system both brakes (25) are disengaged and both motors give a higher torque in the same direction. The system acts as a shock absorber by loads exceeding the fixed slip moment of the friction brake (25).

Abstract: In order to control the tightness of a central heating system (10, 11) which may be connected to a district heating system (1, 2), the system is provided with a flow meter (8, 9) and a valve (6, 7) in the flow (3) and return pipes (4), respectively. Hereby it becomes possible to monitor the liquid flow through the flow meters (8, 9) and in a control unit (15) to compare the signals from the flow meters (8, 9) in order subsequently to produce a signal for an electric motor on the inflow valve (6) when a certain limit value is exceeded in order to shut off the flow of water into the system (10,11) and to a signalling device (16), if any.

Abstract: A shuttle wheel toy comprising a rotary wheel having a magnetized rotation shaft extending through a central portion of the wheel to have ends protruded beyond side walls of the wheel and mounted across a pair of substantially parallel arranged rails secured at one end respectively thereof in a grip, which may be gripped by a hand to axially sway the rails to thereby let the rotary wheel rotate and run on the rails which provide for a path of reciprocation to the wheel. Through a battery housed in the grip and the rails functioning as a positive and a negative electrodes, an illumination element housed in the rotary wheel can be energized to light.
