Abstract: The invention provides a method for directly using input devices of a personal computer to operate a mobile device connected thereto. The method includes: a) designating a specific USB port in the personal computer; b) detecting whether the mobile device is connected to the specific USB port; c) checking whether the mobile device has been installed with a first driver; d) installing the first driver to the mobile device; e) sending a command to the mobile device to make it serve as a GOOGLE accessory device; f) installing a second driver in the personal computer for the mobile device as a GOOGLE accessory device; g) transferring a control right of an input device of the personal computer to the mobile device; h) converting signals of the input device into a format compatible with the mobile device; and i) sending the converted signals to the mobile device.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for installing an application into a handheld computer and a personal computer, which are connected to each other. The method includes the steps of: a) connecting the handheld computer to the personal computer with a USB cable with a memory in which an ADK utility application is stored; b) installing the ADK utility application to the personal computer; c) directing the handheld computer to a specific website; d) downloading a specific program including a personal computer version and a handheld computer version; e) installing the handheld computer version of the specific program into the handheld computer; and f) installing the personal computer version of the specific program into the personal computer.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for changing a touch control function when a smartphone is connected to a computer with a touchscreen. The method includes the steps: a) operationally connecting the desktop computer to the handheld touchscreen computer to project a screen picture of the handheld touchscreen computer on the touchscreen, wherein the screen picture contains a first item, and a second item corresponding to the first item is shown on the touchscreen; b) pressing and holding the second item for more than one second; c) sending a touch event about the operation to the second item from the desktop computer to the handheld touchscreen computer; and d) performing a pressing-and-holding operation to the first item by the handheld touchscreen computer according to the touch event.

Abstract: A method for generating operable cursor on a monitor connected to a smartphone is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: a) providing a cursor generator which receives a source video signal, outputs a generated video signal, and is also capable of connecting a mouse; b) operationally connecting the cursor generator between the monitor and the smartphone to receive the source video signal from the smartphone; c) generating a cursor into the source video signal; and d) outputting the generated video signal with the cursor to the monitor and sending a positional signal of the cursor to the smartphone.

The dock uses a single connector to transfer audio/video data to a display and input-output data and to establish a wireless link with peripherals. The relay normally connects AV data from the smartphone to the AV converter. Abstract: A USB peripheral device with a power connector, such as a card reader, which serves as a peripheral device when it is connected to a host device such as a smart phone, while which can directly charge the host device when a charger is plugged in, is disclosed. The peripheral device has a USB connector and a controller. The ID, D+, D? and VBUS pins of the USB connector are connected to the controller and the power connector through a plurality of relays depending upon whether the power connector is connected by a charger or not. The peripheral device can be automatically switched to serve as a B-device or a power bridge transferring power from the charger to the host device.

Abstract: A computer monitor has an input for receiving from a general-purpose computer a video signal representing a video image, a screen, and a driver for causing the screen to display a video image represented by a video signal. The monitor further includes storage for storing video and/or picture data, a processor for retrieving video and/or picture data from the storage means and producing a video signal therefrom, and a switch for switching the monitor between (i) a first “monitor” mode in which the driver causes the screen to display the video image represented by the signal received by the input and (ii) a second “media player” mode in which the driver causes the screen to display the video and/or picture image represented by the signal produced by the processor.
