    Abstract: A fabrication of a low dielectric constant nano-zeolite thin film includes preparing a zeolite nanoparticle suspension that includes zeolite nanoparticles suspended in a solvent and each zeolite nanoparticle includes pores with templating agents disposed inside the pores; performing a heat treatment on a substrate; vaporizing the zeolite nanoparticle suspension to form vaporized droplets containing the zeolite nanoparticles; using a gas to carry the vaporized droplets containing the zeolite nanoparticles into a plasma to perform a plasma reaction; and allowing the plasma-treated zeolite nanoparticles to deposit on the heated substrate to form a nano-zeolite thin film with a dielectric constant less than 2 and the templating agents removed.

    Abstract: An evaluation device is adapted for providing a transceiver system with performance information thereof. The transceiver system models a channel between a transmitter and a receiver thereof using Nakagami distribution with a fading parameter. The evaluation device includes a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) computing module, a capacity computing module, and an output module. The SNR computing module is operable to set an average SNR for the channel between the transmitter and the receiver, and to compute an expected value and variance of an effective SNR of the transceiver system according to the fading parameter and the average SNR. The capacity computing module is operable to compute an outage capacity of the transceiver system based upon the expected value and the variance of the effective SNR and a transmission outage parameter. The output module is operable to provide the transceiver system with the average SNR and the outage capacity.

    Abstract: A vertical transistor includes a gate isolating layer flanking a stack of a source layer, a resilient active unit and a drain layer, and a gate layer formed on the gate isolating layer. The active unit includes an active layer formed between first and second barrier layers each having a thickness ranging from 4 nm to 40 nm. When an input voltage including a DC component and a ripple component is applied to the source layer, the active unit periodically vibrates as a result of the ripple component of the input voltage such that an induced AC current is generated based on a control voltage applied to the gate layer to flow to the drain layer. The induced AC current flowing to the drain layer serves as an AC output generated by the vertical transistor based on the input voltage. A method of enabling a vertical transistor to generate an AC output is also disclosed.

The relation providing module is operable to provide a relationship between slip rates and primary side resistances of the induction machine and a relationship between the slip rates and primary side reactances of the induction machine. The circuit parameter computing module is operable to perform a parameter computing process according to the relationships obtained from the relation providing module. The parameter computing process includes the steps of: a) generating a set of initial values of equivalent circuit parameters of the induction machine; b) updating the initial values; c) calculating a cumulative resistance error and a cumulative reactance error; and d) repeating steps b) and c) until the cumulative resistance error and the cumulative reactance error are smaller than first and second error thresholds, respectively.
