Abstract: Provided are a wireless communication device and a communication device control method that include a set of templates corresponding to a plurality of potential environmental circumstances. The templates may be stored in a database in the computer readable memory of the communication device. At predetermined intervals, a suite of environmental sensors integral to the communication device may periodically sample the user's environment. The user's environmental circumstances may be derived or inferred by an analysis module based on the output of the suite of environmental sensors and then may be compared to the templates to determine a matching template. An action script is then executed based at least partially on the matching template which may include the contacting of a responding party.
Abstract: A pico-cell is located within a facility. The pico-cell has a wireless protocol for carrying calls placed to and from mobile devices in the facility. A call distributor is in communication with the pico-cell and handles calls carried by the pico-cell. The call distributor includes an embedded wireless switch for routing calls to and from mobile devices in the facility using the wireless protocol.
Abstract: Methods, articles of manufacture, and apparatus to perform policy configuration for mobile device applications are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes determining whether a digital certificate associated with a application executable on a mobile device has been signed by a first trusted certificate authority, the first trusted certificate authority being included in a list of trusted certificate authorities hard-coded in the mobile device, and when the digital certificate is determined to have been signed by the first trusted certificate authority, configuring the application for execution on the mobile device based on an access privilege indicating a physical interface of the mobile device the application is permitted to access, and execution configuration information associated with the application.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for monitoring circuit diversity within a communications network. Information is gathered regarding circuits within the communications network. Diversity rules for the circuits are received. The diversity rules may limit the sharing of network resource between primary and secondary circuit pairs. The information regarding the circuits is analyzed to identify violations of the diversity rules. A report on the violations of the diversity rules is generated.

Abstract: A disclosed method of enabling a subscriber to control access to multimedia content received from a multimedia distribution network includes provisioning the network with an access control application. The application is operable to respond to an invocation by a member of a subscriber class by enabling at least one subscriber class function, wherein the subscriber class function enables the subscriber class member to define an access restriction for members of a controlled class. The application responds to an invocation by a member of the controlled class by enabling the controlled class member to access content not subject to the defined restrictions permitting the controlled class member to define preferences from content not subject to the defined restrictions. The definable preferences may include TV channel preferences and interactive games preferences. Restrictions may be defined based on channel identification, a rating associated with requested content, an elapsed viewing time, and a monetary charge.

Abstract: A method includes receiving at a first computer a new certificate which is to replace an old certificate associated with the first computer and associating by the first computer the new certificate with the first computer. In response to the first computer associating the new certificate with the first computer, the first computer accesses an email address book of the first computer having information identifying a second computer as having received the old certificate to determine from the information that the second computer is to associate the new certificate in place of the old certificate with the first computer. In turn, the first computer transmits the new certificate to the second computer for the second computer to associate the new certificate with the first computer.

Abstract: A sensor for measuring a concentration of a specific protein using a biosensor with a measurement speed improved from a conventional impedance measurement. The sensor is capable of efficiently and accurately measuring impedance generated by a selective binding to the protein by Fourier-transforming an electric current signal obtained by applying a potential signal of a delta function waveform. The device for measuring a protein using a biosensor is capable of measuring concentration of the protein with accuracy, measurement time is shortened and the concentration of protein can be accurately measured by removing the influence of dispersion.

The information representing the map is transmitted for receipt by customer premises equipment.
Abstract: Provided is a computer network that includes computer network devices that are grouped into severable computer network zones and that are operable to detect non-compliant network activity in another of the severable computer network zones. The computer network includes multiple intra-network communication connections that are operable to communicatively couple the severable computer network zones to one another and to be selectively disconnected responsive to the detection of non-compliant network activity in a first zone of the severable computer network zones to isolate the first zone from other of the severable computer network zones.
Abstract: A connection is established in a communications network responsive to receiving a Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) signal at a port having an assigned sequence associated therewith. A dialed sequence corresponding to the received DTMF signal is identified. If the dialed sequence is associated with a request for a specified service, first and second fields of a packet-switched signaling protocol message are populated with the assigned sequence associated with the port. The populated packet-switched signaling protocol message is transmitted over a packet-switched network to request the specified service, and a connection is established to provide the specified service through the port. Related systems and devices are also discussed.
Abstract: A system is described that can perform a method for receiving a request to modify a universal integrated circuit card, generating a package comprising configuration data for modifying the universal integrated circuit card, instructing an over-the-air system to transmit the package encrypting the package with a transport key to generate an encrypted package, and transmitting the encrypted package to a communication device communicatively coupled to the universal integrated circuit card to provision the universal integrated circuit card. The system can also perform a method of providing a mobile network operator trusted service manager system information relating to the configuration data to enable the mobile network operator trusted service manager system to manage content and memory allocation of the universal integrated circuit card.
