Abstract: A wall system for a building is provided having a first room and a second room is provided. The wall system includes: (a) a first panel having a first batting material positioned between a first board and a second board; and (b) a second panel having a second batting material positioned between a third board and a fourth board. Further, at least one of the second board and the fourth board is formed from at least one mineral wool board. A building having a first floor, a foundation, and a first floor board area positioned between the first floor and the foundation is also provided. The first floor of the building includes a first room, a second room, and a wall system positioned between the first room and the second room.

Abstract: A permanent wood foundation wall which includes a frame having a first member, a second member spaced apart from the first member, and two side members. The first member, second member, and two side members each have a front surface and a rear surface that form the front frame surface and the rear frame surface. A cavity is formed between the front frame surface and the rear frame surface of the frame and the first member, second member, and two side members are formed from a wood material including a preservative. Further, the permanent wood foundation wall includes a sheathing board having a first side attached to the rear frame surface of the frame and a second side opposite the first side, a waterproofing membrane applied to the second side of the sheathing board, and a foam layer formed within the cavity of the frame.

Abstract: A building water-management system (1) includes a base material (6) and fiber composite sheets (10, 20) attached to the base material (6). Each fiber composite sheet (10, 20) includes a fiber core (12) having a first side (13), an opposing second side (14), and a surface layer (16) adhered to the first side (13) of the fiber core (12). Adjacent fiber composite sheets (10, 20) are connected together by a lapped configuration (30) such that the surface layer (16) of a first fiber composite sheet (10) extends from the base material (6) and onto a fiber core (22) of an adjacent second fiber composite sheet (20) and the fiber cores (12, 22) of the first and second fiber composite sheets (10, 20) are aligned next to each other to allow water to flow between the fiber cores (12, 22), thereby forming a continuous water drainage and repellant layer. A shower assembly (90) using the fiber composite sheets (10, 20) is also disclosed.

Abstract: A foam wall structure includes a frame, at least one primary support member, and a foam layer. The frame can include: a first member; a second member spaced apart from the first member; and two side members extending between the first and second members. The frame defining a front frame surface and an opposite rear frame surface. The at least one primary support member can be positioned between the two side members and extend between the first and second member. The primary support member defines a front support surface and an opposite rear support surface. The foam layer can be received within at least a portion of the frame and overlies the front surface of the primary support member to form an uninterrupted exposed foam surface. A method of making a foam wall structure is also disclosed.
