Abstract: The securement and adjustment device includes a base member having an elongated slot adapted to be secured to a ski boot. A pulley having a sawtooth wheel coaxially secured thereto is rotatably mounted within the elongated slot and is also mounted for movement lengthwise of the slot. At least one tensioning cable of the ski boot is adapted to be connected to the pulley. A slide member is slidably mounted on the base member for movement lengthwise of the slot. The slide member is provided with an elongated aperture in which the sawtooth wheel is received and is further provided with teeth adjacent one end of the aperture adapted to be moved into and out of engagement with the sawtooth wheel upon movement of the slide member relative to the wheel. A cover lever is pivotally mounted at one end to the base member for movement between a closed position overlying the base member and an open position.

Abstract: This binding device comprises a slide guided slidingly on and adjustably attached to the bearing structure of a sporting implement in a longitudinal direction to the slide; a strap is arranged arcuately across the bearing structure and has juxtaposed end portions associated adjustably with the structure and throughgoing seats are provided to prevent the strap from being shifted in the longitudinal direction. Formed in the slide are cam-like guides at an angle to the longitudinal direction, in engagement with respective counter-guides formed on the end portions of the strap.This binding device is useful with many sporting implements, such as ski boots, skates, bicycle pedals, etc.

Abstract: An extendible roller skate has a support structure constituted by two mutually telescopic parts. Releasable fixing means are provided for securing the support-structure parts in fixed relative positions corresponding to a desired length of skate. These fixing means comprise a series of notches provided on one support-structure part, and a cooperating toothed member mounted on the other part of the support structure. This toothed member is mounted for movement towards and away from the notches of the notched support-structure part, movement towards the notches being opposed by a spring. A cam-shaped lever is provided to press the toothed member into engagement with the notches. Operation of this lever enables the rapid securing together and release of the two parts of the support structure.

Abstract: A lever-and-ring type ski-boot fastening in which the ring is releasably engageable with one of a plurality of hooks mutually spaced-apart by an interspacing. The hooks are formed on a plate-shaped body guided by a base-plate for movements towards and away from the lever by displacements equal to a fraction of the interspacing. Retaining teeth interengageable in a pawl-like manner are provided to releasably lock the plate-shaped body to the base-plate.

Abstract: In a binding device comprising a serrated strap engaged through a leader of an assembly for adjusting the binding tension, the strap can be locked by tightening within the leader with the intermediary of a wedge mounted movably in the leader itself.

Abstract: A device for fitting fixings to the upper of a ski-boot comprises a plate-shaped base fixed to a respective fitting, and a plate-shaped counterbase which is essentially snap-engaged with the plate-shaped base from within the upper through a hole formed therein. The easy assembly and firm anchorage of the fitting to the upper is thus achieved.

Abstract: In a tensioner assembly including a lever, a tie having a hook-up member and an interlobing mechanism between the lever and the tie, which mechanism comprises a latch axially movably on the lever toward and away from an abutment seat formed on the tie member.

Abstract: A device for tightening ski boots is described including a curved plate attached to the tongue of the ski boot, a threaded shank fixed to the plate and an operating knob for the shank, rotatably supported externally of the ski boot and provided with a nut screwed on to the threaded shank so as to permit gradual tightening or loosening. The nut is of the splitnut type which can be opened out, and the knob includes a device which, by opening the splitnut, allow the rapid release of the pressure on the tongue of the ski boot and, hence, on the instep of the wearer's foot.

Abstract: A device for fastening ski-boots, and which permits fine adjustment of the tightness of the fastening to be effected quickly and easily, includes a sprocket supported rotatably on a support plate and a tie with a rack portion engageable by the sprocket. The device also includes a ratchet mechanism for advancing the sprocket relative to the rack portion to tension the tie, and a ratchet mechanism for locking the sprocket so as to maintain the tension of the tie.

Abstract: A ski-boot fastening device for allowing the fastening tension to be adjusted under load includes a ring or other similar hook means and a tensioning unit which acts on the hook means through a tie rod comprising a rod-shaped element having a section with a plurality of transverse notches which are longitudinally aligned along the section, a substantially plate-shaped body with a hole extending parallel to the line of action of the tie rod and having dimensions so as to couple with at least the notched section of the rod-shaped element, and a seat formed in the substantially plate-shaped body. The seat opens into the hole in the plate-shaped body, and a locking member is mounted in the seat and guided for movement transverse the hole against the action of spring means so as to releasably engage a notch of the notched section of the rod-shaped element.

Abstract: A ski boot is described in which the body of the boot may be moved in a crosswise direction in relation to the sole, in such a way that it may be correctly aligned with respect to the ski. More particularly, the sole has at least one of its ends, the toe or the heel, joined to the body in a gliding manner, by means of an essentially prismatic connection (dovetail). In that way, the body of the boot may be fixed on a ski in the position that is morphologically most suitable for the skier.

Abstract: A fastener for roller skates, which can be manipulated quickly and simply by young children while providing a secure attachment of a skate to a user's foot, comprises a band with transverse teeth which is fixed to the skate, and a spring pawl engageable with the teeth. The pawl is carried by a U-shaped support fixed to the skate in correspondence with the band.
