  • Patent number: 5111647
Abstract: A double-twist twisting spindle (2) driven by an individual electric motor (9), the stator (10) of which is fastened to the supporting stand (1) of the machine and the rotor (11) of which is fixed to the shank (2) of the spindle, a stationary package holder (3) being arranged in the extension of the spindle. The mounting of the stationary members on the machine stand (1) is carried out by a sleeve (12) mounted elastically on the stand (1) and fixed to the housing of the motor, the bearings (14, 15) which guide and support the spindle being mounted on the inside of an intermediate bush (16) mounted removably on the inside of the supporting sleeve (12).

  • Patent number: 5060885
Abstract: A yarn tension device of the type including three rollers mounted freely rotatably on a support housing, at least one of these rollers being subjected to the action of an adjustable permanent-magnet braking system (or magnetic brake), and the yarn, during its movement being deflected around the periphery of the rollers, the movement of the yarn upstream and downstream of the tension assembly being executed in a common direction called the "running axis". The rollers are mounted on the support housing in such a way that:first and second rollers, called "entry rollers" are arranged in the vicinity of the yarn introduction zone such that their axes are on either side of the running axis and are maintained in contact, at least one of these rollers having an adjustable braking device; anda third roller, called an "exit roller", itself is positioned downstream of the first and second rollers in the direction of travel of the yarn, its surface being tangent to the running axis.

  • Patent number: 4945720
Abstract: A thread cabling machine is provided with an improved regulator device (or cabling head) in which each work station consists of a DT unit similar to a double-twist unwinding spindle which enables two elementary threads to be united by twisting. One of the threads forms a balloon which surrounds the bowl inside which the spool of the second thread is disposed. The two threads are joined on a cabling head consisting of a unit comprising two pulleys mounted on a support driven rotationally by the balloon of the thread. The invention is characterized in that the eye carrier plate, disposed under the rotary pulleys and enabling the threads to be brought to the pulleys, is provided with a frustoconical part enabling the thread forming the external balloon to wind around a reserve groove forming a radius "r" relative to the axis X--X of the unit.

  • Patent number: 4922706
Abstract: An anti-ballooning can having the form of an enclosure surrounding the yarn winding over its entire height, characterized in that the enclosure has a cylindrical portion against which the ballooning yarn comes to rub over the entire height as it moves past, and which is extended by a likewise cylindrical zone which has a larger diameter and of which the end near the base of the winding is frustoconical in shape, its shorter section having a diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the zone in contact with the balloon.

  • Patent number: 4905467
Abstract: Machine for continuous twisting and cabling of filaments of the type including a predetermined number of work positions disposed on a common support frame (4), each work position including, taken in order according to the process of transformation of the filaments:a feeding and twisting section (1) for each of the elementary filaments, on each side of the machine;means (2) for the return and joining of a predetermined number of elementary filaments thus twisted and;a cabling and winding section (3);characterized in that the cabling and winding section (3) is common to the two feeding and twisting sections (1) and is constituted by spindles disposed side by side in the vertical plane of symmetry (AA) passing between the two feeding and twisting sections (1).
