Abstract: A bracket supports the weight of stand-off standard-width rack-mount equipment and can collapse flat for storage or shipping. An embodiment comprises a back member along the bracket's mounting plane and two stand-off arms each having portions extending along the plane and extending normal to it. Each arm moveably attaches to permit positioning the arm when the bracket is not installed so as to decrease the arm's normal dimension, and each arm comprises at least one anchor permitting attachment to a supporting structure. Another embodiment concerns a method of installing a bracket with a back member and moveably connected stand-off arms, comprising moving each arm in a manner that increases the arm's extension in a direction normal to the mounting plane, and attaching to at least one supporting structure each stand-off arm at at least one anchor.
Abstract: A motion activated and light sensitive multi-purpose safety light, having a housing for supporting: a motion sensor; a light emitting diode which serves as both a light source and a light detector; an electronic circuit which further comprises; a motion sensor amplifier to condition the motion signal received from the motion sensor, a driver for illuminating the light emitting diode in a flashing manner, a timer enabling the operation of the driver and a photo-amplifier providing amplification of the input signal received from the light emitting diode. A user-selected control components for providing parameters relating to the conditioning and the flash rate. A printed circuit board providing an area to mount the electrical components and electric circuit and a system power source.

Abstract: A safety light for a bicycle. A housing member supports a power source and at least one light source. The light source is electrically connectable to the power source. A motion sensitive switch switches between an open condition and a closed condition in response to motion of the housing member. A control circuit is activated dependent on the open and the closed condition of the motion switching means. The control circuit produces a flashing voltage pulse effective to cause the at least one light source to flash on and off. The control circuit also detects an on-off cycle each time the switching means switches between the open condition and the closed condition in response to motion of the housing member and produces a flashing voltage pulse for a predetermined length of time after detecting a last on-off cycle.
