Abstract: Disclosed is a method of displaying a customised location bar or tab in a browser comprising: sending a request for content from a browser to a web server associated with a uniform resource locator (URL) entered into the browser; receiving the requested content from the web server at the browser; sending a request for custom domain data from the browser to a domain registration service, the request for custom domain data comprising information indicative of at least a portion of the URL; receiving custom domain data from the domain registration service at the browser if at least a portion of the URL is registered with the domain registration service; and controlling the appearance of the contents of the location bar or tab in accordance with the received custom domain data. A method for similarly displaying customised search results and associated systems are also disclosed.
