  • Publication number: 20200184197
Abstract: A facial recognition method is disclosed that is executed by a system comprising an image capture device and a light source able to illuminate a face positioned in front of said device. A plurality of images of a face is acquired, the light source producing a different illumination of the face at each image acquisition, and values representing the face from the plurality of images are extracted. To this aim, a first image of a face is acquired. An SNR value, referred to as the estimated value, of the first image is estimated from a reference SNR value, from image acquisition parameters and from values representing distances between the face and said device. Finally, the estimated value is used in order to determine whether or not the recognition procedure should be executed.

  • Patent number: 10672214
Abstract: A method and corresponding electronic device for securing the device. The device and method may include operations for: receiving a command requesting a modification of an operating parameter of the electronic device (C2); detecting whether the operating parameter is a parameter that is predefined as a sensitive parameter; and if so, determining whether the modification requested by the command, if applied, would lead to a degradation of the security of the electronic device. The determining may be done by comparing the initial state of the parameter on receiving the command with a new state for giving to the operating parameter in response to the command. And, in the event of the security of the electronic device being degraded, triggering an operation of securing the electronic device in response to the first command.

  • Publication number: 20200110932
Abstract: A method for detecting a document fraud is disclosed. A first image of a first document and a second image of a second document are obtained. A procedure of detection of zones sensitive to document frauds are applied in the regions of the first image and of the second image registered on the first image. Each sensitive zone detected is then divided into a plurality of subparts. A measurement of dissimilarity is calculated between corresponding subparts from the first image and the registered second image. It is then determined whether the first document is identical to the second document from measurements of dissimilarity. If the first document is different from the second document, a level of difference is determined between the first and second documents according to a value representing a proportion of different subparts; and a fraud is detected when the level of difference is below a third predetermined threshold.
