Abstract: A support system for the human body including two layers of 3D spacer fabric and one or more layers of a non-viscoelastic pressure relief material, such as a non-viscoelastic slow-recovery foam, latex foam, gel matrix or micro-coil, is disclosed. The support system reduces point pressure and evenly distributes pressure along the body, while providing a soft feel and more even and smooth transitions of movement.
