Abstract: The present invention relates to new probes and methods for determining the concentration of copper. In particular the present invention refers to a method for determining the concentration of “free” copper in a serum or blood sample with a high degree of sensitivity and accuracy.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new method for the determination of free copper in serum. In particular to a method with a high degree of sensitivity and accuracy for the determination of free copper in serum samples of patients with Alzheimer's disease and Wilson's disease and other forms of free copper dyshomeostasis. The invention also relates to kits for the determination of free copper in serum comprising filter devices and coumarin fluorescent probe.
