  • Patent number: 7036759
Abstract: The device relates to an autogenous rotor that rotates about an axis of rotation, which rotor is provided with at least one guide member for accelerating material, which guide member is associated with a chamber member where an autogenous bed of material builds up, with the aid of which guide member material is guided into a spiral path in the direction of the chamber member where the accelerated material impinges on the autogenous bed at a predetermined impingement location, after which the material moves from the impingement location along the autogenous bed in the direction of the tip, under the influence of centrifugal force, where the material is propelled outwards from the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6974096
Abstract: The method and the device relate to a rotor which rotates about a vertical axis and is fitted in a streamlined mill in which the stationary collision surface is constructed as a smooth (cylindrical) collision ring and is arranged an adequate distance away from the rotor and thus makes it possible to allow the material to collide, optionally several times, in an essentially completely deterministic manner, or at an essentially predetermined collision location, at an essentially predetermined collision velocity and at an essentially predetermined collision angle; by which a high probability of breakage—and thus the degree of comminution—is achieved, the energy consumption is reduced, wear is restricted and a crushed product is produced which has a regular grain size distribution, a restricted amount of undersize and oversize and a very good cubic grain configuration, the effect—i.e.

  • Patent number: 6802466
Abstract: A synchrocrusher for making a material collide in which the rotor is designed with a symmetric configuration. The rotor contains equal numbers of respectively forward and backward directed guide members and co-rotating impact members which are arranged, as synchronized pairs, in each direction of rotation. The pairs are circumferentially disposed uniformly at equal angural distances around the axis of rotation with the forward and backward directed configurations mirror imaged to each other. By combining or joining together pairs of respective forward and backward directed guide and co-rotating impact members, in respective guide and impact combinations and guide and impacts units, a supersymmetry configuration is achieved, which allows for many interesting synchrorotor configurations.

  • Patent number: 6786436
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of the acceleration of material with the aid of centrifugal force, with the aim of causing the accelerated grains or particles to collide at such a speed that they break. According to a known technique, the material can be introduced into the central chamber of a rotor and accelerated along guide elements, after which the material is propelled outwards in all directions. The invention provides a method and installation which makes it possible to propel the material outwards from the rotor along one or more streams, the flow regions which the material describes being essentially in a predetermined, fixed location. This makes it possible to allow the material to impinge essentially free from interference on one or more stationary impact elements which are arranged around the rotor. It is also possible to distribute or to spread the material from the rotor in one or more predetermined directions.

  • Patent number: 5860605
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for directly and multiply making material collide in an essentially deterministic manner, the material being guided by a rotating guide member, from a central feed, along a guide face and to a delivery end, in such a manner, that the material leaves the guide member, from an essentially predetermined take-off location, at an essentially predetermined take-off angle and at a take-off velocity which can be selected with the aid of the angular velocity, with the instantaneous angle (.theta.

  • Patent number: 4644888
Abstract: A hopper vessel for storing bulk material such as dredged material, has one or more holds. The holds in their bottom are provided with trap doors that open by moving downwardly below the bottom of the vessel. In shallow water, there is the risk that these trap doors, when moved downwardly, will contact the bottom or the material that is deposited from the hopper vessel on the bottom. Therefore, some of the trap doors in the hold are at a higher level in the closed position than the other trap doors. To discharge material, the higher trap doors are opened first; and after enough material has been discharged that the vessel rises sufficiently high in the water, only then are the lower trap doors moved to open position to complete the discharge of the material. The higher trap doors are provided at the ends of the hold. This allows adjusting the angle of the vessel if the bottom of the body of water is sloped.
