Abstract: The invention relates to a method for using a cushion, in particular for a chair, said cushion having a first cushion element (6) that can be moved with an associated degree of freedom. In said method, a sensor (98a, 98b, 98c, 98d) integrated into the cushion is used to sense the position or the change in position relative to at least one first cushion element (6), with respect to at least one degree of freedom associated with said element. The sensor (98a, 38b, 98c, 98d) is coupled to an interface (93) for the wireless output of measured values. The sensor (98a, 98b, 98c, 98d) senses measured values and sends at least some of the measured values over the interface (93) to a device (70, 80) outside the cushion, said device (70, 80) receiving and evaluating the measured values and emitting an output signal.

  • Patent number: 10219628
Abstract: An office, work and leisure chair and retrofit kit for subliminal motions of the seated person. The chair has a cruciform base (1) with rollers (4), a pneumatic spring-action post (2) with an interface plate (5) for a seat panel (21) and seat pad (19), and a backrest (22). The seat panel is mounted with wobble capability on a pneumatic cushion, which has deformable air chambers (18, 35) connected by connecting hoses (27) and lies on an elastically deformable hollow body (14). The hollow body pumps the air chambers when a person sits down and stands up. A pump hose (12) with a one-way valve leads from the hollow body to compensate for leakage losses. Connecting hoses between the air chambers have valves (31; 75; 89) such that the wobbling distance of the seat panel and the damping of the wobbling motion is variable.

  • Patent number: 10213024
Abstract: Office, work and leisure chair and retrofit kit for causing subliminal movements of the person sitting thereon. The chair has a cruciform base (1), freely articulated rollers (4), a gas-spring support (2) and an interface panel (5) resting thereon as a support panel. Mounted on the support panel is a base panel (28) bearing a seat cover (19) with a seat surface and back rest (22). The seat cover is provided and allowed to wobble, resting via a cover panel (27) on a plurality of spring elements (7), which are displaceable radially, or obliquely in relation to the radial direction, or helically from the center of the base panel to the periphery of the base panel. The spring elements are mechanically, hydraulically, pneumatically or electrically displaceable, so that the wobble distance of the seat cover and the attenuation of the wobble movement are variable.

  • Publication number: 20180339623
Abstract: The backrest brings about the stimulation of underlying movements in the back muscles. The backrest consists of at least one moveable element (1) formed of two flexible column strips (2, 3) running over one another and connected via struts (4), and which track the spinal column of the person using the chair with a gap. This element (1) extends upwards from the centre of the rear end of the seating surface. The front column strip carries a number of moveable elements (6) laterally protruding on both sides like ribs (6) from the central moveable element (1), each having two transverse strips (7, 8) for supporting the back region of the seated person exclusively on both sides of their spinal column. Each time the backrest constructed in this way is leant upon, a movement of its contact surface is brought about in different directions, and thereby a massaging of the back muscles of the user.

  • Patent number: 8226043
Abstract: The present invention relates to an autonomous stratosphere platform which is preferably intended to be positioned in the stratosphere, is carried by a carrying shield (1) and is controlled by a control and drive unit (3) which can use control elements (301) to control the carrying shield (1) via lines (302). A cable (5) is used to connect the control and drive unit (3) to a capsule (2) which is intended to hold a payload and the requisite electrical and electronic components for operating the autonomous stratosphere platform. A control element (8) having an anchoring shield (6) is fastened to the capsule (2), again on a cable (5). The stratosphere platform experiences uplift as a result of the wind gradient between the wind layer of the anchoring shield (6) and that of the carrying shield (1).
