Abstract: A device for producing and dispatching documents includes an electronic order processor and a processing machine controlled by the electronic order processor. The processing machine includes a printing machine and a mechanical dispatch preparation device. In order to permit a greater degree of individuality for documents generated in this manner, a locally effective document preparation device is arranged between the printing machine and the mechanical dispatch preparation device.
