  • Patent number: 11634273
Abstract: A liner (L) has a liner body (11) with a front wall (12), rear wall (16), bottom wall (13), a top wall (14). The top wall also includes a tubular excess liner material or chute (19) located close to the rear wall and which includes a filling fitment (20) with a fitment cap (21). The liner also has a cylindrical, hose content inlet/outlet port or bottom fitment (23). The liner may include a gap-filler or filler strip (90) of foam material extending outwardly from a position closely adjacent the outlet fitment. The filler strip is mounted to the front wall and/or top wall. The filler strip may taper so that at least a majority of the strip's longitudinal length or height so as to increase in its lateral width as it approaches the outlet fitment, thereby increasing the material volume of strip material.

  • Patent number: 10648227
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a flood barrier designed for the dry-flood proofing of door and window openings in a building. The flood barrier includes a rigid frame, preferably formed of metal extrusions. To this frame are clamped a water-impervious barrier and a sacrificial bladder to protect the water-impervious barrier from impacts by wind- or water-borne, debris and impacts. A number of webbings may be provided on the side of the water-impervious barrier opposite the sacrificial bladder to further support the water barrier layer. Sealing gaskets are provided on the rigid frame where the frame contacts the building, or in case of a door opening, also the floor. The sacrificial bladder permits water to accumulate between the sacrificial bladder and the water-impervious layer thereby utilizing the non-compressible nature of the water to attenuate the impacting force.

  • Patent number: 10472168
Abstract: A liner wringing device (10) is disclosed for use with a container liner. The wringing device includes a housing (30) with an internal cavity which houses the mechanical components of the wringing device. The housing defines a central liner compression channel (40). The internal components include a bottom support plate (42) with a central opening 43 aligned along the central channel. The wringing device also includes a drive assembly (44) formed by four elastomeric rollers (45) positioned so that the peripheral contact surfaces (50) are aligned generally tangentially with the central channel. The four rollers are each mounted to a drive shaft/axle which includes bevel gears which are meshed so that all four rollers rotate in simultaneous, synchronic rotation through the actuation of a pneumatic air gear motor (57).

  • Patent number: 9303423
Abstract: A novel design and construction method for the creation of a Deployable Flexible Flood Mitigation Device manufactured from textile and membrane materials. The Flexible Flood Mitigation Device comprises a textile/membrane panel configured to be movable between an opened position and a closed position, wherein in the closed position, the panel forms a barrier against flood water; and a spool that is manually or electrically operated is used to move the panel from the closed position to the opened position. The spool can also be eliminated and the panel can be manually folded for storage. The Flexible Flood Mitigation Device can be configured for use in many applications including subway tunnels, vehicular tunnels, stairwells, ventilation shafts, and other openings that can be threatened by flooding. It can be used in any orientation (vertical, horizontal or at an angle with respect to gravity), and can stop fluids approaching from either side. It can also be shaped to fit any opening.

  • Patent number: 9187197
Abstract: A system for attaching a thin film sleeve to a drum using a flange made of thermoplastic material. The inner surface of the flange having an integrally molded portion, where the integrally molded portion is used to create a seal with a different thermoplastic material. The second thermoplastic material can be attached to the drum, thereby forming a seal between the drum, the second thermoplastic material, and the flange. The outer surface of the flange being integrally sealed with the thin film sleeve, thereby creating a barrier between any product being transported through the sleeve to the drum.
