    Abstract: The present invention provides new door lock combination chambers for use with door locks, particularly pushbutton door locks. The combination chamber includes rotary keys which are actuated by pressing pushbuttons when entering an unlocking code into the combination chamber. The rotary keys rotate and engage idler gears which are engaged with a timing gear and code gears. The code gears have pockets which become aligned with an unlocking slide when the proper unlocking combination is entered into the combination chamber. The unlocking slide can be slide into the pockets on the code gears, and thus allow a corresponding locking mechanism retract a latch bolt in a door.

    Abstract: The present invention provides new pushbutton door locks, particularly pushbutton paddle locks, for use in controlling access through doors. The pushbutton door lock has a combination chamber which has a plurality of pushbuttons for entering an unlocking combination. An operator actuatable button and an outside paddle are provided to actuate an unlocking mechanism after the correct unlocking code has been entered into the combination chamber. The outside paddle has a single motion which unlatches the door latch and opens the door. An inside paddle may also be provided to unlatch and open the door without restricting access through the door. A hold open feature may also be provided on the inside of the door lock.

    Abstract: An improved combination lock, such as for a safe, for the lock type having a plurality of tumbler wheels mounted coaxially with a driving cam, the tumbler wheels having fence gates to be aligned by proper combination dialing, the driving cam having a cam gate for reception of a fence nose on a fence lever when the combination is dialed, the fence lever normally biased to hold the fence and the fence lever nose in an elevated position with respect to the cam and the tumbler wheels but having an override spring which during an arc portion of each full revolution of the dial biases the fence lever in a downward engaging position against the tumbler wheels and which will engage the fence nose with the cam gate if the correct combination is dialed.
