Patent number: 8053056Abstract: A stretch film for the packing of goods, particularly for the packing of goods stacked on a pallet, comprises a prestretched main film (10). The main film (10) is reinforced by reinforcement strips (12) extending in the longitudinal direction. The reinforcement strips (12) are made from film strips of prestretched film which have been folded a plurality of times in the longitudinal direction. Between two adjacent reinforcement strips (12), the main film (10) can comprise two mutually staggered rows of holes (16,18). This stretch film with perforations (14) is particularly useful for the packing of food items.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2001Date of Patent: November 8, 2011Assignee: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Gerd Heikaus, Lothar Heikaus

Publication number: 20100193489Abstract: An engine-driven welder/generator is controlled by an integrated controller that is coupled to both the engine and to the welder/generator. The controller receives input signals for operational parameters of the engine, and additional signals indicative of electrical output by the welder/generator. Operation of the engine and welder/generator may thus be coordinated. The controller may control speed, timing, fuel injection, and so forth of the engine, and output of the welder/generator, such as by control of input to a field coil.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2009Publication date: August 5, 2010Applicant: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Richard Beeson, Daniel C. Fosbinder, Michael J. Trinkner

Patent number: 7712708Abstract: A fastener or routing clip for use in a vehicle is configured to reduce the surface area of that is in contact with the tube, wire, or cord to which it is mounted. The fastener clip simultaneously reduces vibration noise. The fastener clip may include two ends which may be connected to each other by a swivel hinge, which allows the two ends of the clip to close and snap-fit together. When in the closed position, the two ends, which further define corresponding semi-circular sections, will capture the tube, wire, cord, etc. thereby mounting them to the clip. The clip may then be mounted to the vehicle. The fastener clip may include at least one flex arm having a bulbous-like end that contacts and pushes on the tube, wire, cord, etc. to reduce the amount of surface contact between the tube, wire, cord, etc. and the clip, and functions as a dampener to reduce vibration noise.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2007Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventor: Sylvester S. Patent number: 7640707Abstract: A fastening clip configured to secure a first panel to a second panel may include a base supporting a plurality of resilient beams, and a plurality of tangs outwardly extending from an outer surface of each of the resilient beams. The plurality of tangs are configured to securely engage the first and/or second panels. The fastening clip may also include stabilizing flaps on either side.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2007Date of Patent: January 5, 2010Assignee: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Lawrence W. Patent number: 7051686Abstract: A variable volume metering chamber and valve assembly for a combustion-powered tool includes a housing defining a metering chamber having an internal volume and including an inlet and an outlet, and a plunger configured for reciprocal movement relative to the chamber for adjusting the internal volume of the metering chamber. The plunger is preferably adjustable by the user to alter the volume of fuel retained in the metering chamber. In the housing, a first valve controls control fluid flow through the inlet, a second valve controls fluid flow through the outlet, and an actuator assembly, connected to the valves, is sequentially operable from a first position, in which the first valve is open and the second valve is closed, to a second position, in which the first and second valves are both closed, and a third position, in which the first valve is closed and the second valve is open.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2001Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Assignee: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Yury Shkolnikov, Tony Deieso, Walter J. Patent number: 6812584Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing welding power from an engine/generator driven welding power supply includes an engine and a generator. A welding power supply is connected to the generator output, and provides welding power. A controller controls the apparatus, and receives an RPM input signal indicative of the engine RPM, and a user selected magnitude input. The controller includes an output reduction circuit that reduces the magnitude of the welding power by a variable amount in the event the engine is likely to stall, so as to reduce the likelihood of a stall, but maintain sufficient power for a welding arc. The magnitude of the welding power is reduced by an amount responsive to the engine speed in the event that the engine RPM is less than an RPM threshold, and/or by an amount responsive to the user selectable setting in the event that the user selectable setting is greater than a threshold.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2003Date of Patent: November 2, 2004Assignee: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventor: Ross Renner

Patent number: 5387065Abstract: A reusable pin and grommet fastener where the grommet includes a head, a shank, an axial bore extending through the head and shank and two legs flexibly hinged to a distal end of the shank and extending outwardly away from the shank with a slight taper toward the bore. The pin includes a shank with a tapered distal end and a plurality of grooves formed about the shank so that after initial insertion of the grommet within an aperture of an article the pin can be inserted within the bore of the grommet to lock the grommet in the aperture of the article and the legs of the grommet readily can flex outwardly with a slight insertion force until seated within a groove of the pin which retain the pin in the grommet with a substantial predetermined removal force that nevertheless enables removal of the pin without damaging either the pin or the grommet.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1993Date of Patent: February 7, 1995Assignee: Illinios Tool Works Inc.Inventor: Kathleen A.
