  • Publication number: 20130280005
Abstract: A rivet fastener includes a fastener body and a fastener pin which is inserted into the fastener body. A head of the fastener body defines a channel for receiving a head of the fastener pin, with lateral lands of the fastener body head exposed outwardly of sides of the fastener pin head. The exposed surface of the fastener body head defines hollows or recesses to accommodate tips of fingers of an installer.

  • Patent number: 8551562
Abstract: A new and improved hot melt adhesive material dispensing system comprises two separate and independent rotary, gear-type metering pumps, or two separate and independent sets of rotary, gear-type metering pumps, which are able to output precisely metered amounts of hot melt adhesive material. The hot melt adhesive materials discharged from the two separate and independent rotary gear pumps, or from the two separate and independent sets of rotary gear pumps, are able to in fact be independently outputted through suitable output devices onto a particular substrate so as to result in different outputted volumes of the hot melt adhesive material in accordance with predeterminedly desired patterns, or at predeterminedly desired locations.

  • Patent number: 7665177
Abstract: A cleaning swab has an elongated handle defining a longitudinal axis and having a diameter. The handle has a cleaning head end. A cleaning head is formed from a sheet of non-linting material having a predetermined thickness so as to form a predetermined cleaning head diameter. The material forms a seal-less tip and a pair of longitudinal side seals extending along longitudinal sides of the cleaning head. Excess material forms a cleaning surface suitable for standard polish and angle physical connector polished end faces. A sleeve has a central opening for receiving the handle such that the cleaning head extends beyond an open end of the sleeve. Use of a first predetermined thickness of material forms a first swab having a cleaning head having a first diameter cleaning head and use of a second different predetermined thickness of material forms a second swab having a second different diameter. The sleeve is configured to interchangeably receive the first swab and the second swab.

  • Patent number: 7270055
Abstract: A refeed system for use in a strapping machine for feeding a strapping material around a load, positioning, tensioning and sealing the strapping material around the load. The refeed system refeeds strapping material into feed elements. The refeed system includes a driven, rotatable boost wheel having a first diameter when in a stationary mode and a second, larger diameter when in a second, rotating mode and an idler element opposite of the boost wheel. When the boost wheel is in the stationary mode, a first gap is defined between the boost wheel and the idler element to permit the free conveyance of strap through the gap and when the boost wheel is in the second rotating mode a strap, positioned in the gap is engaged by the boost wheel and is conveyed through the gap.

  • Patent number: 7051618
Abstract: A damper includes a housing, a cover, a rotor and a valve relatively rotatable with respect to the rotor. When rotated in one direction, a space between the valve and the rotor is opened to increase damper fluid flow and reduce damper resistance. When rotated in an opposite direction, the space between the valve and the rotor is closed to decrease damper fluid flow and increase damper resistance. A shaped flange on the rotor provides a changing space between the rotor and ribs in the housing when the rotor is rotated. The cover is self-centering on the housing.

  • Patent number: 6770846
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus of controlling the welding output of a welding power source by incorporating an open condition detect circuit. An output feedback circuit provides feedback to a controller such that the controller may regulate the output of the welding source of power. As such, the controller prevents a welding output until an open condition followed by a short condition at the welding area is detected.

  • Patent number: 5810254
Abstract: A low pressure spraying assembly for mixing and initiating the reaction of a first liquid reactive polymeric material, such as an isocyanate terminated compound, with a second liquid reactive polymeric material, such as an hydroxyl terminated compound or polyol resin, to form a two part polymer, such as polyurethane, and spraying the polymer onto a surface. The spraying assembly includes a material circulating system and a spray gun assembly. The material circulating system comprises separate multiple diaphragm pumps, drive assemblies, flow meters and feedback controllers for each material. The spray gun assembly includes a manifold with a pair of fluid ports for receiving the first and second polymeric materials. A mixing device is mounted to the manifold for mixing the materials to form the two part polymer. A spray tip with an air cap is mounted to the distal end of the mixing device for spraying the polymeric material.
