Publication number: 20160005174Abstract: A system of active fiducial markers for pose calculation of head mounted displays is described in which information is exchanged among said markers for the purpose of synchronization. Fiducial patterns are made more easily identifiable by selective duty cycles of sub groups of synchronized emitters and means is described to propagate pose information among markers.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2015Publication date: January 7, 2016Applicant: Technical Illusions, Inc.Inventor: Ken Clements

Patent number: 9084658Abstract: The process for duplicating mucosal tissue or tooth structure for use in a prefabricated dental restoration includes first selecting a characterization strip and a base layer having a desired oral cavity color or characteristic. The selected characterization strip is then placed on the selected base layer and the two are rolled together into a composite. The composite is then formed into a portion of a prefabricated dental restoration, wherein the color and characteristics of the composite duplicate mucosal tissue or tooth structure. In this regard, the composite may be bent into a denture base or otherwise shaped into an artificial tooth for use in dentures.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2010Date of Patent: July 21, 2015Assignee: Dental Illusions, Inc.Inventor: Uriel Yarovesky

Patent number: 6126548Abstract: A modular, interactive, reconfigurable simulation system is designed to provide a variety of simulation experiences. The system has a distributed state machine architecture to facilitate reconfiguration and technological update. A typical simulation system constructed in accordance with the present invention includes a plurality of simulator stations. Each station includes a seat for the player/operator and controls and displays that are appropriate for the simulation experience. Each simulator station is preferably mounted on a motion base to provide the player/operator with sensory inputs consistent with motions of the simulated vehicle. Each simulator station is controlled by an associated host computer. The host computer maintains a state vector which describes the current state of the associated simulated vehicle within the simulated world. The host computer calculates interaction between moving objects and the underlying terrain data base by mapping 3D terrain objects into 2D maps.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 1997Date of Patent: October 3, 2000Assignee: Illusion, Inc.Inventors: Robert S. Patent number: 6098204Abstract: Goggles for use in cold weather, high speed outdoor sports, in conjunction with an insulating hood having a facial opening, are configured to receive the hood around the facial opening, to prevent the hood from obstructing the wearer's vision. The goggles are preferably configured with an outer frame incorporating a lens, an inner frame bearing against the wearer's face, with the outer and inner frames spaced apart to receive the hood at least partially around the facial opening. With the present invention it is possible to remove the insulating hood without displacing the goggles from the wearer's face. In the prior art, it was necessary to remove or otherwise displace the goggles, to allow removal or adjustment of the insulating hood.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1995Date of Patent: August 8, 2000Assignee: Arnette Optical Illusions, Inc.Inventor: Gregory F. Patent number: 5646707Abstract: An eyeglass frame having removable nose piece members detachably fastenable thereto. In one embodiment, first and second nose piece members are provided to interconnect with a dedicated one of two members formed upon the eyeglass frame. Preferably, such members formed upon the eyeglass frame comprise I-beams that depend from the bridge of the frame and extend along a portion of the perimeter of each respective lens that abut either side of the nose of the wearer. Each respective nose piece member may be selected to have a desired size, shape and contour to thus allow the wearer to selectively attach the desired nose piece members to the frame to thus achieve a desired fit.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1996Date of Patent: July 8, 1997Assignee: Arnette Optic Illusions, Inc.Inventor: Gregory F. Arnette
