Abstract: A device for providing edge bands has a storing unit having individual storage places, which are designed to be at least indirectly loaded with edge bands, in particular edge bands that each form an edge roller at least in some portions. The storing unit is arranged to be linearly movable in or on a base frame such that a selected edge roller can be moved into a working position in which the edge band located on the edge roller can be taken over by an edge feed of an edge banding machine. A portion of an edge band, in particular a portion unwound from an edge roller, can be separated at a cutting position in the region of the working position by means of at least one cutting arrangement.

Abstract: A method for processing plate-shaped workpieces made of wood or wood substitute materials, having the following steps: providing a large-format plate made of wood or wood substitute materials, and supplying the large-format plate to an isolation station; isolating plate-shaped workpieces by dividing the provided large-format plate in the isolation station such that cuts are made in the large-format plate by at least one isolation unit; supplying the isolated workpieces to at least one downstream machining station, in order to finish the isolated workpieces. At least a portion of each isolated workpiece receives, from the isolation unit, an alignment portion having at least one reference drilled hole for engagement of gripping elements. The isolated workpiece provided with the alignment portion is received by means of a gripping element, an engagement element or an acquisition element engaging on the alignment portion, following the separation of the isolated workpiece.

Abstract: A method for processing panel-shaped workpieces having the steps of providing a large-format panel, and feeding the large-format panel to a detachment station; detaching panel-shaped workpieces by dividing the large-format panel in the detachment station by making cuts in the large-format panel using a detachment unit; and feeding the workpieces thus detached to a downstream processing station in order to complete the panel-shaped workpiece. In step b) at least a part of each detached workpiece acquires from the detachment unit an alignment section for engaging gripping elements and/or introducing reference bores. After the workpiece provided with the alignment section has been detached it is taken over by a gripping element, engaging element or grasping element which engages the alignment section. After the workpiece is taken over, the gripping element, engaging element or grasping element engaging in a form-fitting manner on the alignment section of the workpiece runs through a cycle.

Abstract: A wood-processing system having a buffer, which receives and buffers planar workpieces of wood materials or wood substitute materials, and a deposit device, onto which workpieces removed from the buffer can be deposited. At least one robot is included to remove the workpieces from the buffer and to deposit said workpieces on a deposit element of the deposit device and/or at another deposit location in the buffer. The system can be operated continuously, with workpieces being loaded sequentially into the buffer, removed from the buffer by the robot, and sorted onto the deposit device.

Abstract: An infrastructure system with an automated guided vehicle system (FTS) that has an automated guided vehicle (AGV), and a control means. The infrastructure system has a safety region that has an entrance region through which the AGV can drive, wherein the AGV has a safety scanner which emits a scanning signal. The safety scanner is designed to detect objects and obstacles located in the driving region of the AGV independently of a navigation system for controlling and determining the position of the AGV. A sensor is arranged in the entrance region, which sensor can detect the scanning signal emitted by the AGV. The control means is designed, in response to a predefined scanning signal detected by the sensor, to determine the presence and/or authorization of the AGV in the entrance region, which authorization is required for driving into the safety region.
