  • Patent number: 10215310
Abstract: A stackable routing clip for installation on machinery using a weld tool. The stackable routing clip has a body and at least one wing section. A weld projection extends from a lower face of the body. Each wing section may extend from the body and include a routing port that receives the insertion of a cable tie used to secure cables to the stackable routing clip. The stackable routing clip is configured so that a plurality of the stackable routing clips may be grouped together to form a stack. The clips may be stacked together in a dispenser that is used to dispense of individual clips when a clip is to be welded by the weld tool to the machinery. The weld tool may melt the weld projection and plunge the clip into the resultant molten metal for a quick and strong weld.

  • Patent number: 10035214
Abstract: A tool configured to dispense consumables, such as a plurality of stackable weld clips. The tool may receive the insertion of a magazine, which may include the weld clips, a pusher, and a retention pin positioned on a cartridge skewer. The magazine may be inserted into a magazine holder assembly to provide a magazine assembly. The magazine holder assembly may include one or more movable and stationary racks that engage the pusher. The rearward lateral displacement of a spindle may displace the movable rack and electrode arms, while opening retention arms. The electrode arms, which may include clip back-up arms, may be positioned to provide a clamping force on a weld clip that is being dispensed. The forward displacement of the spindle may displace the clamped welding clip with the electrode arms, pivotally open a pawl mechanism, move the retention arms to a closed position, are result in the indexing of weld clips in the magazine assembly.

  • Patent number: 9482370
Abstract: Various embodiments provide a line clamp assembly that includes a base, cradle, and clamp. The base includes wings and a body. The wings extend from the body and each includes a routing port. The body is configured to be welded to a structure. The cradle includes a generally C-shaped body that defines a channel and an opening. The channel is configured to receive the line via the opening. The cradle is configured to sit on the base. The clamp includes a body having ends that each include an attachment configured to mate with a corresponding routing port of the wings. A force is applied to the cradle to compress the cradle such that the attachments are mated with the routing ports. The force applied to the cradle is removed after the attachments are mated with the routing ports such that the cradle expands to apply pressure to the clamp.

  • Patent number: 7307236
Abstract: A weld circuit for use in a welder is provided. The weld circuit comprises a charge section, a capacitor section, and a weld section. The charge section includes a first plurality of solid state switches, e.g., silicon controlled rectifiers (charge SCRs), the capacitor section includes a weld capacitor, and the weld section includes a second plurality of solid state switches, e.g., silicon controlled rectifiers (weld SCRs). The charge SCRs form a bridge between the lines in the charge circuit. One weld SCR is coupled to a first weld terminal and the other weld SCR is coupled to a second weld terminal. The charge and weld SCRs isolate the charge section, the capacitor section, and the weld section from each other. The weld circuit is coupleable to a safety circuit that comprises a resistor, a microcontroller, and optical isolators. When the optical isolators are enabled, the microcontroller monitors a current flowing through the resistor.

  • Publication number: 20050062285
Abstract: A hydraulic port weld stud can be attached to hydraulic or pneumatic apparatus for providing an angled fluid port. The weld stud includes separate stud components for providing the two threaded ports of the stud, such that the ports are not formed from the same unitary block of material. The weld boss portion of the weld stud may be integrally formed and unitary with the fitting mount portion to form a one-piece component such that the weld boss does not need to be assembled or brazed on. The block which provides one threaded port such as the female threaded port also provides the weld boss portion and may be generally cylindrical and made of cylindrical stock material. The two primary components of the weld stud are brazed together with a weld ring which provides an indication of proper assembly when melted.

  • Patent number: 5757011
Abstract: An apparatus and method for visualizing a scene in the form of image rays projecting along a path includes a plurality of charge coupled device detectors disposed along the path to receive the image rays and to collect data. This data includes both noise data which is collected at a generally constant rate, and image data which is collected when the image rays are present along the path. A clock which facilitates discharge of the data from the image array has a first state wherein the data is retained in the detectors, and a second state wherein the data is discharged from the detectors. An event detector including a plurality of charge coupled device detectors forms an event array which places the clock in the first state when the image rays are present along the path and places the clock in the second state when the image rays are absent from the path.

  • Patent number: 5124797
Abstract: A micro video imaging camera has a detachable distal module which is replaceable with one of different characteristics (e.g., angled), and sterilizable. Thus a non-replaceable CCD and video transmitter are connected to an inner body which comprises in effect a lens tube. The module comprises an outer body encasing the inner body which has a filter (optional) at its tip and a magnifying lens optically connected to an image conduit optical segment. The inner body receives the image conduit, the output of which is focused by the lens in the inner body on a CCD microprocessor. The model may be replaced with an angular distal end or lenses of different fields of view. Fiber optic light filaments may be used to illuminate the field of view of the tip of the module, either housed internally or externally of the inner body.

  • Patent number: 4427326
Abstract: The present invention comprises a lug nut which has two separable portions connected by a frangible neck, wherein a first portion engages the threads of the stud, and a second portion provides a surface adapted to engage a wrench so that the lug nut may be driven into the stud. When the stud-engaging first portion has been threaded onto the stud and sufficiently tightened, continued application of torque cause the frangible, wrench-engaging second portion to shear off from the stud-engaging first portion. The stud engaging portion has an annular notch which is adapted to engage a snap ring located in the wrench-engaging portion. After the wrench-engaging portion is severed from the stud-engaging portion, the wrench-engaging portion is then reversed and positioned onto the stud-engaging portion. When so positioned, the snap ring engages the notch, which rotatably secures the wrench-engaging portion to the stud engaging portion.
