Abstract: An electronic display is disclosed for displaying a visual presentation. One described electronic display includes a plurality of digital playback devices. Each digital playback device includes a display device comprising a portion of a display area of the electronic display. Each digital playback device further includes a processor, persistent memory, video data representing a video presentation stored within the persistent memory, and control logic for controlling playback of the video presentation.

Abstract: A digital playback device is disclosed for displaying at least a portion of a visual presentation. One described device includes a housing, a display device supported by the housing and a self-contained computer in communication with the display device. The computer is disposed within the housing and positioned relative to the display device to define a thermal airspace between the display device and the computer.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for synchronizing a presentation displayed on a set of digital playback devices. One described method for synchronizing a plurality of digital playback devices includes storing on a local computer schedule data defining playback parameters of a visual presentation and storing on each of a set of digital playback devices command response data associated with each digital playback device. The method also includes broadcasting a command based on the schedule data to the set of digital playback devices. The method further includes processing the command at each digital playback device based on the command response data to provide a synchronized presentation on the set of digital playback devices.

Abstract: Methods are provided for distributing a visual presentation. One described method includes storing show data and media referenced by the show data at a data center. The method also includes processing the show data and media to generate a set of visual presentation data files. The method further includes distributing each visual presentation data file to at least one digital playback device. Systems are also provided to implement the described methods.

Abstract: A device enclosure is disclosed which comprises a set of vertical elements, a set of horizontal elements and a set of nodes. Each vertical and horizontal element forms at least one chamber for directing airflow. Each node removably attaches to the vertical and horizontal elements. Each node forms at least one chamber corresponding to the attached vertical and horizontal elements. The vertical elements, horizontal elements and nodes are assembled in a grid pattern which forms at least one aperture for receiving an electronic display.
