Abstract: A method for microbiologically reducing zearalenone and related compounds comprising cultivating a ketone-reducing microorganism in a nutrient medium and exposing the compound being reduced to the enzyme action of said microorganism.
Abstract: A process for sealing glass to metal by applying a methylolated polyoxazoline to the surfaces of the glass and metal which are to be joined, applying a sealant to the oxazoline-coated surfaces, joining the glass and metal surfaces to be sealed and allowing the sealant to dry.

Abstract: Vinyl oxazolidines corresponding to the formula ##EQU1## wherein R is methyl, ethyl or hydroxymethyl, and R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R.sup.2 is hydrogen, methyl or hydroxymethyl; or the oxazolidine can be the tris-oxazolidino derivative of 4-keto-9, 11, 13-octadectrienoic acid triglyceride (oiticica oil). The compounds have utility as dispersing agents in water-based paints.

Abstract: An improved process for the preparation of sand cores for foundry use in metal casting by mixing sand with a binder, and packing into a mold to harden. The improvement in the process resides in using as the binder an oxazoline or condensation product thereof.
Abstract: Tetrazocines, prepared by reacting hexamethylene tetramine with a monocarboxylic acid anhydride. The compounds have utility as dispersants, suspending agents and blending agents.
Abstract: A method for priming nitromethane to strong shock which comprises immersing in said nitromethane an open-celled polymeric foam and a blasting cap in close contact with said polymeric foam.
