Abstract: A fume hood comprising a canopy having at least one hollow support member under the canopy wherein the canopy is set over a workstation. Each hollow support member has one or more fume intake ports. The fume intake ports are connected to a negative pressure system such that fumes underneath the canopy are drawn into the fume intake ports, through the hollow support member, and out to the negative pressure system. The fume intake ports have one or more slide gates to adjust airflow through said fume intake port.

Abstract: An abort gate to divert airflow in an air system comprises a housing having a flow inlet, a primary outlet, and a secondary outlet. A flow diverting blade is mounted to a shaft within said housing. Rotating a blade arming bar also rotates the flow diverting blade within said housing between a first position and a second position. A pulley bar mounted to the shaft adjacent to the blade arming bar comprises a pulley bar pulley that receives a cable that connects said pulley bar to a winch and a tab on the pulley bar that extends towards the blade arming bar, such that rotation of the pulley bar toward the blade arming bar causes the tab to push said blade arming bar and also rotate the blade arming bar thereby rotating said flow diverting blade.

Abstract: A vertically oriented dust collector configured to filter dry particulate matter from an air stream comprises a housing containing at least one cartridge. Each cartridge comprises a filter pan having an opening with a filter incorporated into the opening. The filter pan has at least one alignment opening. The housing further comprises at least one pair of rails oriented parallel to each other within the housing onto which each cartridge is mounted and at least one alignment block sized and shaped to correspond to the alignment opening of the filter pan. The alignment block is positioned such that when the cartridge is installed in the housing, the alignment opening of the filter pan aligns with the alignment block.

A slide gate is mounted to the outlet of the hopper and a spout is mounted to the slide gate. A lid is configured to secure to the top of the dust receptacle. The lid has a coupling configured to secure to the spout. A slot comprising a locking feature is located on either the spout or the coupling. A rod corresponding to the slot is mounted to the other of the spout or the coupling than which the slot is located. The lid may be removed from the dust receptacle by lifting the lid to move the rod through the slot and the lid is secured by twisting the coupling relative to the spout to move the rod into the locking feature.

Abstract: A fume hood comprises a curved canopy supported by at least one hollow leg wherein the curved canopy is set over a workstation. The curved canopy has a plurality of adjustable fume intake ports under its apex. At least one hollow leg has a fluid connection with the fume intake ports and has an air outlet port that is configured to be connected to a negative pressure system such that fumes underneath the curved canopy are drawn into the fume intake ports, through the hollow leg, and out through the air outlet port to the negative pressure system.
