    Abstract: A fluid indicator for use in a containment vessel. A sensor body is movable by a drive relative to the vessel. An indicator automatically indicates the location of the sensor body relative to the vessel. A passage is in the body through which fluid from the vessel can be viewed and a light emitter is positioned in the body so as to direct a beam through the fluid. A light sensor also positioned in the body receives light after it passes through the fluid and produces a signal in response thereto.
