Abstract: The present invention relates to a vertebral fixation device (1) for holding a vertebra (V) on a rod (2), haying a body (3) of U-shaped or substantially U-shaped cross section, a flexible band (4, 4?) for connecting said vertebra to the fixation body which is provided with slits (17) for passage of the hand and of means (M) for adjustably blocking the flexible band against the rod in the fixation body. The flexible hand (4,4?) comprises a loop (5, 5?) closed on itself and provided with a flexible lamella (6, 6?) which is able to form a guide for passage around the vertebra and into the fixation body.
Abstract: The invention relates to a connection system (3, 12, 13) between two longitudinal cylindrical spinal support rods (4), said connection system comprising at least one transverse elongate element (6, 14) having, on each end thereof, a head (7, 8; 17, 18; 43) for attaching onto a corresponding rod. At least one of said attachment heads (7, 8; 17, 18) includes a semi-cylindrical recess (19) for clipping with the rod (4), said recess having an upper lip (20, 21), covering the bottom of the rod, and a lower lip (22, 23), that is radially opposite said upper lip, and the head comprises a means (11, 24) for bending said lower lip (22, 23) between a position for connecting and a position for locking onto the rod.
Abstract: The invention relates to a knee prosthesis (1) including a femoral part (2) connected to a tibial plate (3) by an intermediate meniscal plate (4) provided with an upper surface (5). The intermediate meniscal plate (4) and the tibial plate (3) are connected to each other by two planar joining surfaces, the tibial plate (3) including a central pivot pin (26) or at least one clipping/indexing finger (34, 35) which protrudes with respect to the tibial joining surface (11). The meniscal joining surface (12) of the meniscal plate (4) includes, in combination, a central hole (25) capable of engaging with the pivot pin (26) of the tibial plate in one case, and a locking recess (46, 47) capable of becoming embedded with the indexing finger (34, 35) of the tibial plate in the other one case, depending on whether the tibial plate comprises a pivot pin or an indexing finger.
Abstract: A vertebral attachment system and method for retaining a spinal vertebra (25) on a rod (2) employ a device (1) including a body (3) for attachment to the rod, a flexible strip (4) for linking the vertebra to the attachment body and a means (5) for adjustably locking the flexible strip on the attachment body. The attachment body (3) is made of a single part having a U-shaped cross-section, for passing the rod between the bottom wall (10) of the U and the adjustable locking means. The adjustable locking means (5) consists of a linking part (18) connecting the opposite ends of the two arms (6, 7) of the U, arranged such as to compress the rod against the wall. The arms (6, 7) each include a recess (14) opposite thereof, located on the bottom side of the U, for passing the two ends of the strip between the bottom and the rod in order to form a loop for attachment to a vertebra.
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method and a system for tracking medical products in which the product (11, 12) and/or its packaging (16) is marked and identified with a first reference (18) that is stored in a first file (20) and the packaged product is shipped (7) to the client for storage for subsequent use for a patient listed in a second file (31). The references of the product are detected (27) automatically and remotely when it is shipped and stored in a third, or stock control, file (28) of the client at the time of an operation.
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention relate to a method for monitoring the use of sensitive products (16) in which the products and/or their packaging are marked and identified and then the products are marketed while storing successively their references in a CENTRAL FILE, associated with determined user customers and with suppliers, then in stock-management files (30, 30?) and, gradually as they are used at a user customer, in customer files (34, 34?, etc.). If one or more anomalies are found making it possible to qualify a product of determined type as defective (RD), data comprising the reference of the defective product can be automatically and simultaneously transmitted to all of the media of the various files, the reference of the defective product is automatically compared (35, 35?, etc.) with the product references appearing in the files, and in the event of a positive comparison, a warning signal is immediately or substantially immediately triggered.
